I remember in the last days of Central Station enquiring of the staff about track plans and was sent over to the public relations office in Rail House at the back of Lime Street Station where they gave me large drawings of Central Station and Brunswick MPD. They had been prepared for someone who never came back to collect them. They have disappeared during one of my house moves.

I went to get some 'fine' WS ballast which looked suitable on the website, but on seeing it in the shop it was almost like powder. I had taken a sample of what I was using, purchased many years ago with no identifying label on the bags, its nearest match was 'medium'. This could not have been done online.

Disappointing 30 mile round trip to Hattons yesterday. Due to stocktaking a lot of the stock had been taken off display. I did get what I went for though thanks to the staff member going into the warehouse to fetch a few samples for me to make my choice. I do prefer to quietly browse on my own though and may have made an extra purchase.

I added an extension to the bridge and used parts from an Aifix/Dapol turntable kit to detail it. Still needs handrails and rest of locking levers fitting.

I don't know why some get all upset when someone points out errors, it's like they are the self appointed defenders of the manufacturers. I like reading these informed posts by people more knowledgeable than I and then I quietly make my own decision on whether or not I buy the said item. There is nothing wrong if you are happy with an incorrect model if it suits you, it is your money. If a manufacturer has to make compromises I think they should state this, like ' we are making this model without an ashpan because...' or 'We have added splashers were there weren't any because...' and then there would be no need for anyone to point it out and we would know the reason why.

It also looks like it is not a continuous wall, the two sections don't appear to be tied together.
