  1. Delighted - was on my wishlist - ordered a 3 car BR Blue one with headcodes immediately. Thank you to our Danish friends! If not domino headcode, hoping not to hard to change. Really happy with a Class 104, will be fantastic. What is more, the announcement photo from Andy is my home town!
  2. 1075 was a special which Hornby renumbered for me with a note from Mr SK himself!
  3. That is a good excuse thanks. I have duplicates - though only the blue and red liveries. Would love one in black. That would look incredible next to the pending black Merchant Navy when I think about it!
  4. I had no idea there was a brake 1st as 5052! Got a rake of 6 of the original blue coaches, Namely: 5792 / 1069 / 1070 / 1071 / 1075 / 5812 They look great behind R2206 Coronation from 2001. However, the new full rake will look even better behind my newly acquired R3857 Coronation + R3623 Queen Elizabeth. Is 7 streamliners too many?
  5. Mouth watering! Always hope one would come along RTR. Could not resits two, original and garter Blue. Thank you Hornby - very excited about these. My list of wanted models has shrunk and shrunk. Not that many left now!
  6. Website still showing Q3 2020. Another update would be appreciated if possible please?
  7. Had not considered a fleet, novel idea. No physical loco renumbering, just hypothetical numbers on my reference spreadsheet. Green 'D' numbered diesels treated similarly so D8233 has address 1533, D601 has address 4101 and correspondingly E5001 is addressed 7101. Makes finding a loco easy on the ECoS as one can tell the class from the morphology and then can see the last two running numbers so dead easy even with a large roster.
  8. Interesting that you should mention 'Lion' as I have allocated it the unofficial/fictitious TOPS code as a Class 49, with other similar classifications for 'Kestrel' Class 54, Sarah Siddons Class 75. APT-E Class 270. This helps with my DCC code addressing formula which take the first 2 numbers from the TOPS code and the last two matching the last two running numbers. Those above therefore being 4960, 5400, 7512 and APT-E getting 2700. Falcon is 5380. Hope that makes sense. One day I would like to try and run a Cavalcade.
  9. Will be on the list for one as soon as available for ordering. I would love at some point to do a line up or drive through of one of each TOPS Class in chronological order. Never thought the Class 48 gap would be plugged!
  10. Fantastic! Never thought an RTR one would be available - cannot wait to have this one. Looks brilliant. Paid for my sound GT3 and first install on this one - I do need to make sure I get the full payment through to Keith shortly for the Fell. I think the prototype looks like the result of inbreeding between a 37 and a 13 though defo fits my theme of 'weird & wonderful' exhibits for my fictitious railway museum! Please do keep them coming! Thank you so much.
  11. Totally agree on the especially on the wider range (though I do also take the point well made my Chrisr in his following post in regard of the supply issues). There are a number of both steam and diesel classes which if a TTS were made available I am sure would sell like hot cakes. Come to think of it - how about an electric for novelty value? I would jump at the chance of a TTS for Class 71, 73 or 87!
  12. Registered my interest in a Class 48 a couple of days ago - better late than never. Actually - put me down for 47601 or 47901 too while you're at it please! Lol
  13. As a tinnitus sufferer, I totally agree. It really set me on edge!
  14. I've ordered two (25093 + 25252). Think I am going to like them . They will be stabled and run alongside Bachmann Blue ones so should have a nice little fleet of them. I know some folks are a little critical of both but I am actually happy with the Bachmann ones and have a good feeling about the forthcoming Heljan ones too. Maybe neither are perfect but capture the essence for me. Could do to get sound fitted to at least one to add atmosphere and bring back happy memories. I only ever saw one in Scarborough though they were a favourite of mine along with 20's & 40's!
  15. Brilliant - will be up for a couple of these subject to similar livery and numbers being available in '00' (to those announced in '0') - in due course. Very pleased to hear about this forthcoming model, thank you Heljan!
  16. So elegant. Always loved seeing the prototype and will be delighted to have the model. A real stunner - will look wonderful running with the Dark Lake Birdcages. Cannot wait - thank you for producing this lovely model! There will be quite a stable of SECR RTR now. Surprised that no RTR 'Dancehall' brake has emerged as yet, bet they would be popular?
  17. Lovely coaches. Must say that I really do prefer the Bachmann 'Dark Lake' colour myself though accept others having their own personal preferences. I may wait and see if a later run materialises in the darker form as not too bothered if in this livery at the moment. A quick straw pole might have been a good idea to see which was most popular, light or dark.
  18. Bachmann decoder duly fitted, very simple operation to perform, though the aid of a pair of tweezers was essential. Runs beautifully, very pleased and impressed! Many thanks EFE. I know the price has been commented upon and it does seam a little on the high side. However the model appears to me a definite improvement over it's pervious DJM iteration. Really love the LMR livery too!
  19. Lucky enough to already have an old Bachmann wagon pack with the LT brake van and 1 or 2 plank wagons, sourced many moons ago on eBay! I had no idea what else ran in LT livery. I do like the brake van you show thank you, though sadly my skills would fall well short of being able to build and paint one myself. Note to self - keep an eye out for the Prairie.
  20. Very happy with my LMR one. On opening the clam-shell the chimney was found to be loose to the point of immediate detaching but that was the easiest job in the world to glue back on. Got it run-in on DC on the rolling road and very smooth it is too. Hopefully the Bachmann Next 18 decoder arrives tomorrow and I have as easy a job as 'Meatloaf' with the installation! Could be tempted by another one should a BR (L/Cr) one arrive without the weathering at some future point, which I think could be likely.
  21. I do wonder if manufacturers react to things like the LT livery selling the fastest and then look at putting the given livery out on other suitable models.
  22. WOW - I am totally in awe of the Battleship Grey Hush-Hush! The construction photos reminds me of a whale skeleton ribcage (surely this must have been commented before). The photos seam to indicate a real 'presence' in the model - wondering if we might get a TTS decoder for it at some point similarly to the P2? Just need to think about a decoder address now as my numbering system will create a clash with Midland Compound 1000, (small problem to worry about)! Cannot wait for this one which I think will become and iconic model!
  23. Did you mean write decoder to '8' (not 4) on CV 8? If not try this. Otherwise sorry I cannot help much other than advise returning to vendor.
  24. Totally agree with reply postings above. Do take out your batteries after a proper shutdown and store in appropriate conditions ideally with a couple of small silica gel packs to absorb any moisture in the atmosphere. In addition you can 'back up' your ECoS settings on your laptop/PC. You'll need to have a connection to your Router for this, which will also facilitate firmware updates.
  25. Really looking forward to my LMR J94. Let's give it the chance it deserves. Video looks very good. Fingers crossed we are all happy with our new EFE J94's. Less said about DJM the better though I do very much sympathise with any previously unhappy customers. Hoping to have my new model here very shortly and now need to source a Bachmann 36-567 decoder for it.
