  1. Does this mean that the kit will be available soon?
  2. Can I ask what you're making? I don't really understand what you are saying.
  3. I've been watching the centre cars for ages waiting for a bargain, its taken 10 years but I have managed to get enough triang parts to build the western pullman for £100.
  4. I picked up three triang blue pullman centre cars for £56, considering one went for £34 earlier in the day not too bad, I can finally build a western pullman now.
  5. I'm not sure how much people understand about extra loading on roof trusses and ceiling ties/joists. My civil engineering lecturer who is has written the span tables for floor joists /roof members etc explained that they can sometimes be designed to have a much smaller safety margin than an equivalent roof structure, a properly designed floor is designed to take loadings of 1.5kN/150kg per m2 whereas a ceiling is only designed for 0.25kN/25kg per m2, it really is not worth the risk to load up loft floor joists or roof truss members any more than there designed load capacity.
  6. Does anyone have one of these knocking around?
  7. Just been flicking through this morning and it confirms that I have no idea which bit of south Wales I find the most interesting because all of it is.
  8. I think in the book, red dragon and other old friends, there is a mention of a swansea central station idea which obviously didn't come to anything even like a substantial proposal which would have been situated near the castle, this would have been a interesting idea.
  9. There was a viaduct running from the wind street area of Swansea and connected at a junction just after the platforms at Swansea High Street, the truss Bridge which took the line over New cut Road down the back of the station is still there.
  10. Perhaps, they do go for crazy money.
  11. Are your motors suitable for the Alexander models bogie set up? I think they might be too big at first glance.
  12. Thanks, I have found an alternative to the mashima one so that's sorted.
  13. whilst I am a mature student, studying from home I agree that this is rubbish, I actually wish I'd deferred my last year now as sat in front of a PC at lecture time is a poor substitute for class time. I can only imagine the 18 year olds various frustrations of not been able to have a normal experience.
  14. cheers, which type is that? best regards Richard.
  15. If you don't need the ds10 Mike, would you be interested in selling it as I have a few alexander models diesel kits which could use it. Best regards Richard
  16. Just seen there's a few of the dmu kits been listed on ebay including the 120 kit.
