  1. I originally come from Huddersfield and am currently living in Swansea for the second time, and I can say when they're grim they're grim, but when it's nice both areas can be spectacular.
  2. Says the man modelling the valleys of South Wales.
  3. If you can wait a few days, I could scan some for you as I have 3 in my pile. Just digging out for my shed atm so busy working but I'll should be able to dig the kits on on the weekend.
  4. If you fancy selling it, I'll take it off your hands.
  5. I got a silver fox lms 10000 for a tenner.
  6. On page58 of the last days of the class 25's, there is an image of the safety train in 1976 which look to me like they are an lner design. Not knowing much about coaching stock I'm not sure if they are Thompson or Gresley ones. Would someone be able to enlightenment me please?
  7. These look amazing, A bit more complex than a airfix presflo for me though, which is my current level of construction.
  8. I picked up two Ian kirk gresley buffet kits for £50 which considering the cost of Hornby coaches I don't think is two bad.
  9. Best thing to do is let me know what bits you have and I can make a decision then if that is OK? Best regards Richard
  10. Regarding costs as stated look at second hand, I picked up a 6 car kitmaster blue pullman for £80, not as good as the Bachmann one but good enough for me.
  11. I have just taken delivery of a brass cast class 73 kit by mtk it is pretty good tbf, I also have a white metal one which again is pretty good much better than the a1 models class 73/0 kit anyway.
  12. I had a d600 kit but sold it, wish I hadn't now, if you fancy selling yours.....
  13. does anyone have the D600 Warship kit they'd like to part with?
  14. I have got some Hornby class 67 bogies for remotoring my triang one, the wheel base is about 1mm.to short for the 9'6" bogies.
  15. I am in the market for one of these but can't justify spending £3-400 on one, I assume the older versions are OK for simple shapes, and would replacement blades etc be the same as the newer machines?
  16. A craftsman class 104 conversation kit for £9. Last one I watched went for 20 something pounds.
  17. A complete crownline chassis kit for an 08 listed as a wagon kit, £30 with postage.
  18. Ahh Maltby, when I used to go clubbing in Doncaster in the mid 90's I got to know some lads from there, rough wasn't the word. If they didn't have any money they used to walk in to the pit with wheelbarrows and nick whatever they could, on more than one occasion I saw them wheeling barrows full of coal around selling it door to door.
  19. What would you rather happen to the class 56 then? Sit and rust until scrapping? Refurbishment so they last another 10 years? Surely this is the best option? It makes good use out it a redundant asset, should be better for the environment emissions wise and helps provide jobs.
