I've been wondering about landore when I drive past it, shame it's going to close, my stepfather's brother Bernard used to be a fitter there, and I had the chance of a look around, but for some reason I declined the opportunity!
Building inspectors can contradict each other so much, you'd think they'd talk to each other, unless you get the same one all job, you can get some conflicting advice.
I was interested but when I checked my stash I found
6 x 120 kits
1 x 119 kits
1 x 114 kit
3 x 108 kits
2 x 128 kits
1 x 129 kit
1 x Derby lightweight kit
So I probably have enough!
Thanks, I've been looking at various locations around the Swansea area, with the intention of eventually making a model of one, and this looks like it could be an interesting option
Been a bit stupid here no doubt, is this junction near Briton ferry station?
I've googled it and I keep getting, Briton ferry road station, trying to find some early seventies pictures of the area
Are there many pictures of them in South Wales?
This is my favorite area, but most books on the hydraulics are in the west country or London areas, which I can understand, but south wales seems to have been neglected by a lot of photographers.
Does anyone have any experience of these?
Looking at the price that lima and Hornby mk2 coaches go for on ebay, these don't look to bad in comparison, especially if you were to buy shawplan etc detailing parts for them.
I've found a few threads on them and there seems to be a mixed view, regarding the shape of the tumble home.
Some are built and there is a motor bogie, I couldn't turn it down even though I've a six car triang one, I've been rebuilding,
I just need a second kitmaster kitchen car now
I was born in 1979, and so I missed most of the "interesting" railway, so I can only make opinions on pictures, but to me, the best looking locomotives are the class 52 "westerns" and followed by the deltics in green!
