  1. Hello everyone, Latest release is my first 7mm scale, 0-14 & 0-16.5 wagon kit of the cliffe hill mineral wagon. Etched in 15 thou nickel silver, requires wheels which kb scale supply the correct type. The 4mm scale streamlined post war 100hp sentinel is now available.
  2. Hello everyone, sorry if ive been lazy in this but ive just copied and pasted the latest news and releases from the website as ive got to go to work in a minute. Enjoy! Latest Release, 4mm scale, standard gauge 00/EM/P4 revised Austerity/J94 0-6-0ST chassis kit. This is a much updated version of our chassis kit, not very much has changed to be honest but the inside valve gear is slightly more detailed and easier to build with tab and slot construction. The whole chassis is now on one sheet so makes my life easier and quicker when packing. Take a look at the instructions on the chassis page. What has vastly improved is the instructions which now features part numbers and much clearer diagrams. 4mm scale, standard gauge 00/EM/P4 Streamlind Sentinel loco kit is now ready for release, instructions currently being completed for it. 4SLK003 Post war sentinel is now back in stock. All lost wax brass ladders have been withdrawn from the albert goodall range as im trying out a new supplier. However brand new patterns are being made so they are the correct shape and also feature the pins at the top for the first time. You may find the more popular ones will be rolled out first with all other variants to follow not too long after. Also Whitemetal castings of the rebuilt whistle, injectors and Bulleid lights are deing withdrawn and produced in lost wax brass and nickel silver. These means the items will be in the correct colours and also can be soldered easily as well as trying to ensure good quality castings with the lights and keeping stock levels up. Also our first 7mm scale, narrow gauge 0-14 and 0-16.5 wagon kit shpuld be relased shortly, need to test build the chassis and do the instructions. The Cliffe Hill mineral side tipping wagon. We've just a delivery of etches so most etched kits and parts are back in stock now and altered stock levels were appropriate and what i can remember.
  3. The Albert Goodall scale drawings are available from RT Models now. The injectors will be done in lost wax brass shortly as well as new and improved lost wax brass ladders which I will be making the patterns myself rather than using Alberts original as I want them to be longer for the sprues and to have the fixing brackets on the top. All part of upgrading alberts range.
  4. Hello everyone, Work will commence shortly on these wagons in 4mm scale. The chassis will be done in white metal as originally envisaged with a etched body and detailing parts. The body will be a basic fold up box to simplify building but if you want it fully working, just snap the sides along the fold line. The kit can be supplied with 8mm disc wheels, however the standard 26mm axle Length looks to pose a problem however there is a solution without compromising on scale width. There will be a option of standard buffer gear as 2 was fitted at Corby but I will also produce at the same time the loco coupler pockets, however how will people want the couplings done? Supply none working Buckeyes that can be slotted together?
  5. Good evening everyone, soon to be released in 4mm scale, 00/EM/P4 is the Post war Streamlined Sentinel 0-4-0VBT. The test build has gone well with just a couple of minor alterations to the etch needed but otherwise is ready to go into production. Contains the usual specs as the other 2 kits including motor, wheels and gears. If you want to pre order one, please let me know off group. This does bring to the end of the Sentinel 100hp series from me which from left to right shows the development of the design throughout out its manufacture. Which is your favourite? Also being test built currently is the Thomas Hill vanguard rebuild -0-4-0
  6. Hello everyone. Hopefully to be back in stock shortly is my revised 4mm scale, Austerity/J94 0-6-0ST chassis kit. Some new cast whitemetal wagon detailing parts will be released shortly involving brake gear to enhance models and easy replacement in RTR wagons, in particular 8 brake clasp gear. Some of the 4mm scale detailing range will now be done in lost wax brass as well one or 2 new items as I will be trying a new supplier out.
  7. And they was used as a banker from Farringdon to ludgate hill. Sadly I won't be requiring a j50 as I built one from a Djh kit for my South London layout (whenever that is!) but thank you Hornby for a good all round loco choice, it's these sort of locos no matter the region or period modellers want and need!
  8. The other alternative to Johnson klear is humbrol clear which I've just used on mine and a luggage van and must say I'm impressed and may replace my usual method of varnish for fixing glazing and nameplates. It was even resistant to a solvent wash afterwards.
  9. Hello everyone, Just a quick note that I will be taking reservations for warley exhibition for the next 2 4mm scale loco kits planned for release there should the test builds go ok. Streamlined 100hp sentinel Thomas hill vanguard rebuild Also a reworking of the j94/austerity 0-6-0st which for me is now on one sheet rather than several which some improvements have been made to the inside valve gear, gaps the tops of the hornblock guides.
  10. The conventional buffing gear will be made a option for those who do not have the means to couple up to buckeye couplings. Should make a start after warley hopefully.
  11. Hi Ray, there is a gladiator models 7mm scale kit of the post war sentinel which has a resin body wich someone on rm web has built.
  12. Yes it is on my to do list, body nice easy etching, chassis a pig to design in any medium! Chassis will probably be cast in white metal. Was planning on getting these done this year but will follow Behind the streamlined sentinel and Thomas hill vanguard and transfers somewhere there.
  13. Hi All, the website has now been updated with all new releases added. On the 4mm scale, standard gauge locomotive detailing section i have now arranged the parts into sub headings to find them more easily. I'll be attending scaleforum at the end of the september so hope to see you there next to Parkside Dundas. After Scaleforum I may go quiet for a while on RM Web as i'll be putting my head down to try and clear all current projects including a couple of new ones, all in 4mm scale for release at Warley hopefully. I may even do some model making for myself in this time?
  14. I drive past one of these Andrew Barclays every day so you never know.
  15. Hi Arthur, Yes I will be at warley. Forgot to mention that does relate to you, both the small and large ingot moulds are now cast with no seems in a new one piece mould offering virtually flawless castings.
  16. Hello everyone Heres the photos of the completed 4mm scale, pre war 100hp sentinel steam loco kit. £100.00 which includes wheels, all wheel drive gearbox, motor, pickups. Note also it has spectacle rims that can be positioned open as one has been done on this model on the right! Once again, if you are interested in purchaseing one at the shows, please let me know off group to reserve one for you. Lots of other new releases for mainline, light railway and industrial modellers over september in 4mm scale, come by to see whats new and have a chat. Too much to list of which the website will only be updated after EM North the soonest.
  17. Hold your horses, Horsetan, I need to get the N footplate done first, it's been that long in the making! I should have a card mock up to view at EM North and Scaleforum. On the subject of the 2 shows which there is no reason to do a disappearing act again at the latter! Heres a list of new products due to be released. All in 4mm scale, Industrial flameproof headlights as fitted to many industrial diesels and mining locos. BR MK1 and 2 coach buffers in extended position. Austerity/J94 sandbox lids Brakevan rear and side lamps, as much I would like to say they are SR and br design, ive come across these on LMS era brake vans so maybe these are a RCH design? Sentinel 18" buffers Manning wardle tapered buffers as used in my mw kits Also to be released at the shows is the sentinel 100HP heavy BE, these will retail for £100. If anyone is interested in reserving one, please let me know off group.
  18. Busy Adam? Just things getting in the way sadly. These was drawn up earlier this year although I now have the missing information for the streamlined sentinel as I went to photograph and measure them a month ago. As to the N class footplate horsetan, to be honest I keep changing the design as it's quite complicated to draw (can I just do castings please) due to bachmanns interesting footplate and chassis design but think I may have cracked it by now including the one piece fold up N1 cylinders.
  19. Hello everyone, Been a bit quiet on here for the last few months, hopefully things will be as normal as they can be now. The 7mm scale hudson tipper wagon is now available once again having been updated with separate brake gear and a working locking mechanism for the tipper. They also come as a etch with bearings, buffers, couplings and wheels are extra to allow you to mix and match on parts. The 4mm scale 100hp prewar heavy be sentinel should be released at EM north and scaleforum in september. http://www.rtmodels.co.uk/csc_1882.jpg http://www.rtmodels.co.uk/csc_1878.jpg Later on will be the streamlined version. http://www.rtmodels.co.uk/dsc_1687.jpg [url=http://www.rtmodels.co.uk/csc_1884.jpg]http://www.rtmodels.co.uk/csc_1884.jpg
  20. Something I can add to this is that the advertising frames are a standard size. They was listed on the cbs outdoor website but can't seem to find them on the mobile phone but if you search on the internet you may be able to find them. I won't go through all the different types as i'll just bore you all! Adverts change quite quickly unless it's the vinyl type but the latter are almost extinct now.
  21. Hi Brian, I'll have most of the range of valve gear parts but not all as well as much 4mm scale NG kits and parts.
  22. Hello everyone, I'll be present at scalefour north in wakefield this weekend, whilst there is isn't anything new to release for this show due to work commitments, there will be built up test etches of the next 2 loco kits. Just received another batch of etches so will see if the next test etches comes out ok including my first 7mm scale narrow gauge wagon kit?
  23. Looks very good paul. Hi James, Havnt done anything with barber as I'm awaiting for her to be restored to get her right. A chassis kit in N gauge wouldn't be viable due to costs, neville's N drive rtr chassis is good value for money and supplied already running. I can look into doing a etched cab and chimney for Spencer but won't be for a while, got a few other products to complete which I will come to. My Next 4mm scale loco kit which I'm hoping the test etch will be ok is a pre war 100hp sentinel which was built from the 1920's and even the LMS and later ( had one for sue at Clee hill in shropshire. There's one being restored at Avon Valley railway which the've helped me with research. Not long after will be the streamlined sentinel 100hp which only 6 was built. A test etch is forthcoming but won't be a fully complete kit as yet as I need to get to the real locos to check some details.
  24. I thought I would add the "London docks railways" parts one and two, very good books by Dave Marden, published by kestrel railway books. Sadly I was born during the redevelopment of the London Docklands so never got to see this interesting system as it was. Also of interest is his books on southampton dock railways, plenty of industrial systems in and around southampton as well as the Southern railways systems.
  25. Very nice Arthur, nice to see some of my kits made.
