  1. Hello Schubert there hasn't been anymore progress on the sentinel as i'm still awaiting the patterns for it at the moment.
  2. Hello Autocoach, no there wasn't a smokebox door produced without the BR numberplate by Albert The paper overlay as Horsetan correctly says was produced (and still is) as a paper overlay but will be produced in the near future as a one piece etch. As an aside, i've now taken stock of what nameplates that Albert had left as well as his badges which i will try to get them produced once again but this will be quite a few months away before any of his badges is released. Due to the amount of variants of nameplates in stock from different companies these will only be sold upon request or at the limited number of exhibtions I attend (limited due to the nature of my full time job ). Once the nameplates are sold out they are sold out as I do not intend on restocking them plus one or 2 of the companies dont exist anymore! Stangely amongst them there is non sothern stuff as well such as A4's!
  3. Hello Missy, Hopefully in the next couple of months depending on the next test etch.
  4. Hi Pix, At the moment there isn't anything else planned in 2mm scale except for something in 1/160 scale due to it being for the continental market but can't say what it is just yet! . After shrinking the hudson down and altering the drawings so it was decided to have something to complement it so did a detailing sheet to improve the austerity / j94 as I had the drawings avalable from doing the 4mm scale version.
  5. Hi all, Heres my first update for a while, once again been very busy. I might as well work in scale order as that will be easiest, are you ready! My first release in 2mm scale is a etched body detaing sheet for the Graham farish Austerity / J94. Also to come when the drawings have been alterd is the hudson tipper wagon, special thanks go to Alex Duckworth for building the test etch for me. In 4mm scale, narrow gauge im currently working on etched walchaerts valve gear and matching cylinders to compliment my existing valve gear range and will also upgrade the GEM Baldwin 4-6-0, hopefully it will be ready next week? In 4mm scale Standard gauge, wooden contractors side tipping wagon kit, perfect for running with all those Manning Wardle Old Class I's and K's, provided you have fitted extended buffers although me saying that it was pointed out some at swanscombe had conventional buffing gear and couplings fitted and have found a photo on the internet after doing the kit! Available also is the BTC registered plate (1964) to allow industrial locos to work on the BR mainline or sidings. Also there has been quite a few items added to the Albert Goodall range. Finally etched and lost wax brass brake gear. Also lost wax brass tender ladders, tender chassis steps and under cab pipework. Also released at Alexandra Palace exhibition was the 7mm scale standard gauge Hudson tipper wagon kit, These have now sold out and another batch will be ordered shortly. If you are interested in ordering some, please let me know off group. Available also is the BTC registered plate (1964) to allow industrial locos to work on the BR mainline or sidings. Thats all for now!
  6. Hi Paul, yes I will come to those in a bit as this is my first chance for a update. Sorry i missed you Owen, ! must have been on my short spending spree! The LT wagons are going to be delayed still as the test etches that arrived a few weeks ago have not come out well, very frustrating as all the whitemetal castings and lost wax brass castings for both are now in stock.
  7. Good evening all, been busy recently with both work and RT Models. I will now be attending Alexandra palace exhibition on march 23rd and 24th march, stand 156. I should be releasing a few items there but won't give too much away, there's something for 2mm, 4mm and 7mm scales! At this moment in time, even I'm not sure what will be released as I'm still awaiting some items.
  8. more news, another batch of etches has arrived which includes the Manning Wardle Class K producton batch. Also the test etch for the 4mm scale London Transport Hurst Nelson Brake van has gone together well on the dry run last night when I got home from work, will solder it up sometime next week when I get time. More drawings to be emailed off for test etches next week for various kits and parts.
  9. Hi all, been quite busy with my full time job and with RT Models recently. Test etch built in the last few evenings with what time ive had of the 7mm scale Hudson tipper wagon. Very happy with it so production will go ahead shortly. 15thou Nickel silver with 1/8th brass bearings running in hornblocks. The etched leaf springs i'm not happy with so will be supplied with cast resin leaf springs. Buffers and couplings to come shortly. Got the 2mm scale version to finish off now! The next few months will see lots of releases so will be a busy time for me. Back to packing kits and a early night is in order!
  10. Nice to see another being built, currently builing a couple of test etches for different scales! Good spot on the coupling hooks! I was asked by the etchers to redesign the etch to fill the metal sheets better as I required large quantities on the next batch so at the same time I did the coupling hooks taking on Adam's comments. As to no practice rivets, must have slipped in the design process as I try to include these in all kits where possible after a suggestion from someone who I knew.
  11. On my tenshodos, I removed the keeperplates, drilled them where the gears are and re-attached so i could put inside easily tamiya grease. Each of my whitemetal battery locos seems to work well but then i must admit i havnt given them a chance to run much, maybe i should put them to test at the clubs running session in 2 weeks with all its gradients!
  12. Has ended up walking away with a 1/24 revell Routemaster kit! It was

Thankyou for that Barry, Hopefully i should be ok as i used to work on these and maintain one, shame it doesnt come with a Cummins engine, just how I remember them. Can I hear people say not a proper engine?

  13. I certainly can remember a connex 2H, might even have a photo of it somewhere as I used to stand at Streatham Common in around 1998 and 1999 when I was around 12 taking photos. I even remember a connex class 207 with a CEP trailer in the middle but doubt I took any photos as I saw this go past my school in Balham. Must admit, I never travelled on any of these sadly even though I used to see them all of the time. If anyones interested, I could post my NSE and connex phots of them?
  14. Hopefully I'll have the drawings ready for sending off for a test etch as well as well as austerity lambton cab, L T hurst nelson brake van and 2mm scale and 7mm scale hudson tipper wagons in the new year. Still awaiting current production etches to arrive for the Class K and to complete existing orders.
  15. Something else i've spotted on the original westcountry, it has wheel balance weights when they only gained them when rebuilt and also the rear tender ladders for the high sided version, it shows as having square looped ladders when they should be round for both 4'500 and 5'500 versions which some early cut down tenders carried also.
  16. On the CAD drawing of the originaln air smoothed westcountry, it has fitted rebuilt type ashpans, will the model also cater for the original ash pans which most of the locos carried. Also will the model cater for the 2 safety valves positioned later on over the fire box as well?
  17. Hi all, Just a quick update. Warley will see some new items released all in 4mm scale, Manning Wardle/Lynton and Barnstaple and SR locomotive lamps, limited quantities though. Bulleid 4,500 and 5,500 gallon tender chassis brake cylinders, will fit on new chinese made Hornby models, Rebuilt MN locomotive domes. If the etches arrive in time, I should have released the Manning Wardle K class to follow on the Old Class I. Hope to see you there
  18. I've already got sat in front a test etch for a 60ft rail wagon which the whitemetal castings are ready for, just need to get the lost wax brass castings done for the stakes and its ready. Some final work needed on the hurst nelson brakevan also, both will be on display at warley once again.
  19. Agree with Andy, will certainly be building a model of austerity 7 soon, got to create those transfers now! Its interesting looking at austerity 6 which is missing its air vent above the coal bunker which was meant for the diesel engine behind that rectangular patch to drive the automatic stoker.
  20. Hi Paul, I havnt done anything more to the basic design as I'm awaiting the patterns to come back to me. I did go to measure a 50550 but I was a week too late as the coupling rods and chimney had been taken ahead of the loco to its new home. I took measurements of the bufferbeams though.
  21. Don't mind PGH if you want to put them on this thread, would certainly keep them together. If you do PGH, would one of the MODs mind knocking the "Boscomoor sidings' off the thread title to reflect on looking at the whole line?
  22. Some very good photos on here, thankyou guys. Certainly answered a few questions. Whilst I am after information around the penkridge area, certainly don't stop with just there for the line. Thankyou everyone.
  23. At the moment whilst going over the dimensions and designing it around the Bachmann model. The footplate will cater for both original, rebuilt front frames and N1, included will be 3 sets of smoke deflectors as the N had 2 different hand holes and various detailing bits as well as steps for both the loco and tender. On the southern front still, LBSCR lamp irons have now been added to the website.
  24. Trying to just draw the top half on the computor was interesting earlier!
  25. Hi everyone, just to quickly say the 4mm scale hudson tipper wagon is now in stock and available from the website. hopefully some more new items will be added thursday daytime.
