  1. Thankyou for the offer Paul, ive just been directed to a photo which shows one perfectly.
  2. Hi all, has anyone got photos or direct to me a website for photos of the handbrake on a BR class 08 diesel shunter please?
  3. Hi all, just a quick update about the class 13 conversion kit. The drawings will be sent off in the next few weeks. Also the old control desk will now be done in resin and after having a go last night, the first few castings are better than what i expected so its on track now to release at last! Anyay, back to the lathe now to fill the next mould for whitemetal parts.
  4. Hello Everyone and a happy new year to all. I hope you all like the website? I am now taking advance orders for the 4mm scale, 00/EM/P4 manning wardle Old Class I 0-6-0ST loco kit and also the Austerity 0-6-0ST loco body detailing etch as the 2nd versions of the drawings for test etches will be sent off in the next few weeks along with other bits. As before no payment is required like with the austerity chassis kit, just let me know off group, quantity and once they are approved i can send you a paypal invoice or you can pay by cheque, whichever is easiest. THe price guides which are not set in stone yet will be around £80 for the Manning Wardle old Class I and around £9 for the austerity loco detailing etch.
  5. Hi all, heres the promised photos of my pug which i've simply melted a thick piece of brass wire into the nylon chassis block and filed the front axle slots upwards and also the keeperplate. The first 2 photos shows it underneath with the keeperplate removed and the final one shows that it works well should your poor loco need to clomb over a mis-placed screwdriver!
  6. Hi Adam, yes i will make them available seperately as they have been done as a seperate etch in brass.
  7. The minimum back to back has to be 14.5mm or 14.8mm for finescale track. Just be inserting a screw driver between the chassis and wheels will help quickly re-gauge them but make sure its as near to the axle as possible. btw all, i will try and get that promised photo of my compensated pug asap.
  8. Hi all, heres the photos of the test build of the 4mm scale austerity/J94 body detailing etch. Not everything has been fitted but some minimal tweaking will be required. Note how much the larger the scale front window frames are compared to the original openings that havn't been altered! You will see the complete etch and whats on it as well. Also are photos of the LNER A3 and A4 cylinder drain pipes.
  9. i will do Horsetan but it wont until the end of the year (2012 that is!) once i've cleared the current projects and theres not many to go now!
  10. Hi all, now fully stocked up on etches so the pecketts will be available and those on current order will be dispatched monday morning. Test etches have just arrived all for 4mm scale 00/EM/P4 which includes the Austerity 0-6-0ST body detailing sheet which i will get on with testing tonight. Also which will come as a surprise to many, etched cylinder drain pipes for LNER later 3 pipes A3 and A4's and also a 2 pipe version for early A4's. The 3 pipe A4 version will need trimming back for when these was cut back on the real locos as these has been done to full length to cater for both cases. As its coming up to christmas and the delays to the post these won't be available until the new year. A3's will be £1.80 a pair A4's, either version £2.00 a pair
  11. Hi all, for those interested i have listed packs of 1mm diameter blackened brass chain in 1 metre lengths and 4mm scale mis-cast small ingot moulds going for half the normal price on ebay under member "rtmodels-kits"
  12. Price wise for the Old Class I, will probably be around the £80 mark? A K class, whilst i do not have a scale drawing but going by the dimensions from a book i have, seem very similar except for the for the rear wheelbase length, some Old Class I's got re-classed as K's during overhaul just to add to the confusion!
  13. HI all, Shown at Warley was the pre-production of my first all new 4mm scale, 00/EM/P4 locomotive kit. Well heres the photos. Manning Wardle Old Class I Bear in mind theres alterations needed before it can be released which looks likely to between 2 and 3 months. There is 4 cabs, 2 safety valve covers (which i will offer for sale seperately shortly) 2 types of buffers including extended bumb beffers, perfect for the chaldron wagon kit 2 coal bunkers, 2 different smokebox doors. It will be possible to model the Colonel Stephens, Morous and Sidlesham, the former used to work just down the road from me!
  14. Not quite in stock, just awaiting the etches to arrive for the valve gear and thats it now i've got some resin keeperplates. My try at doing resin was fairly successful but found it too tight a fit to the chassis so i need to expreiment a bit more with these but not far off. No i havn't started on Barber yet, i've decided for her i need a new type of keeperplate which i will design one and hopefully manufacture myself.
  15. Hi all, Also added to the sales at warley is metre length chain, 1mm diameter for £5.60 per pack. Also there will be a pre-production sample of my first loco kit in 4mm scale, 00/EM/P4 on display. What it is you will have to find out at the weekend! Confirmed prices for the 4mm scale. 00/EM/P4 Chaldron wagon kit is £7.60 for single wagon without wheels, £10.30 with wheels. £35.00 and £47.50 for multipacks with wheels respectively. Also i may have some 4mm scale, 009 gauge Peckett loco kits at the show as some plans (and pestering!) are in place but i can't promise anything. Hope to see some of you at the weekend. Regards Robert RT Models www.rtmodels.co.uk
  16. It is 4mm scale, 00/EM/P4 Nothings being added to the website till after warley. Price wise i'm not too sure as i'm awaiting the invoice for the etches to work out the final prices.
  17. I'm afraid i do not know at the moment, Parkside Dundas might still have some?
  18. Yes i will have the wagons there. Hi all, I plan on changing the website after warley which the new sub-title will reflect the changing areas of the business. Is there anything that you feel would be worth changing, layout, colours, and in particular how the index is alid and the links from them etc... It won't be possible to do everything you may ask/suggest but your feedback will be welcome.
  19. Hi all, thought you may interested in this 4mm scale kit from myself Now finished and to be released at Warley in a month is the Londonderry/Seaham Harbour Chaldron coal wagon. This features cast parts with etched nickel silver brake gear which is very delicate to represent the spacing between the layers.
  20. Hi all, heres a small update of recent, been very busy recently with work. Now finished and to be released at Warley in a month is the Londonderry/Seaham Harbour Chaldron coal wagon. This features cast parts with etched nickel silver brake gear which is very delicate to represent the spacing between the layers. There will not be anymore updates to the website concerning new kits and parts till after warley as some changes will be made to it for various reasons plus it will save me time to get one with getting hopefully several new releases done in time but we will see.
  21. Hi all, for sale this weekend at Scaleforum exhibiton in Leatherhead, Surrey is the Austerity/J94 dome, the packs of 4 oil cans as you will find on the footplates of industrial lcoos and workshops etc. Also the former Clarke kits open hearth scrap boxes are now back in stock. I will also have a few to be relased items that are currently under development of which one just requires a new small etch done and its ready, the moulds have been made for it. Hope to see you there. Regards Robert Thompson RT Models
  22. Hi all, heres the photo of the LT 60ft rail wagon and Hurst Nelson brake van. I will later this year get back to working on them again. excuse the poor photo as i just very quickly took this.
  23. Thats Ok Graham, glad your happy with both the kit and the instructions, i do try my very best to make both as good as possible. Regards Robert RT Models
  24. that will be down to a blond moment! Sorry Mr Bulleid
  25. Hi Graham, Yes i did see it. I wondered why the west country drain cocks was all the sudden selling very quickly and when i bought the magazine for the slag ladle article i came across your review which explained why! Thankyou for this, much appreciated. The next batch should arrive next tuesday at the latest as well as re-stocking other items. Aside from this, i should have a few new releases at scaleforum like a set of oil cans and maybe the Austerity tank dome if this has been included in any of the moulds but was sent at the 11th hour so to speak. Also the scrap hearth boxes will be re-introduced again. Note that i won't be around after scaleforum for a week as i'm taking my holiday down that way, feeling a bit home sick!
