  1. Mine arrived today, quick look through and it looks a very good reference as expected with books by Hugh Longworth. Roy
  2. It is also legally highly dubious in so far as the distance selling regulations and the non-return of deposits, especially on items that are likely to sell out and therefore not “cost” Rails anything. Bad news, and I shall order elsewhere now. Roy
  3. Oh yes, had been asking for a 517 on the Accurascale thread. Roy
  4. I’m a simple man with simple needs, lots of plain BR Blue for me, oh, and the odd large logo - just think of the savings on artwork! Roy
  5. With respect, that is not a particularly fair question on a public forum and puts McC in a very difficult position. Roy
  6. But what you consider quality and what I consider quality may be two very different things. For me, as an example, the Accurascale Class 37 wins over the Bachmann Class 37 easily (no nose seam, sound etc) yet others argue the other way. The fact that many default to Accurascale doing things possibly means I am in the majority, but who really knows? Roy
  7. But what is the lead-time for them deciding that N gauge is a go and them announcing something? Probably 18-24 months? Given their new approach of only announcing when closer to delivery, it may be a case of no news is good news. Roy
  8. But not for long and probably not the best way to model it as it would limit the period that it would suit Roy
  9. That doesn’t work well in my area anymore, regularly have signed for parcels left on the doorstep. Roy
  10. 23, 71, 85 and 108 just arrived here and looking good. Will unpack them and run them later. Roy
  11. As shown here in a Class 31 driver’s desk photo on Flickr: https://flic.kr/p/d5vWBm Edit: which of course also shows the reason for the Toffee Apple nickname. Roy
  12. Here: https://revolutiontrains.com/product/caroline-975025-inspection-saloon-oo-4mm/
  13. Absolutely, their older model still stands-up well against their newer version which has led to me not replacing any of my 10 older models. Edit: I have bought three new SFX models as well. Roy
  14. Perhaps worth you dropping FK3D an email as they specialise in doing coach interior items (no connection). Roy
  15. Well, if we are reminding, a couple of the 12 Motherwell 37/3s. Roy
  16. Somebody going to be in trouble for leaving that main reservoir pipe hanging, looks like it could foul stuff when running. Otherwise, looking really good. Roy
  17. Don’t see there being any possibility of a 47. With Bachmann’s being as good as it is, what would make it viable? Ok, Bachmann are not releasing many, but they could change that quickly if there was competition announced. Deliberately not mentioned Heljan as the Bachmann model is superior in my opinion and, therefore, the greater competition. Roy
  18. Simple looking in, but as we have seen, Bachmann aren’t sitting on a giant pile of money. Every run takes cash to create before those sales can be realised generating profit on that capital employed. Any business has to balance its cashflow. In the UK more businesses fail* through cashflow issues rather than a lack of orders. * in no way suggesting Bachmann are failing, just showing how important it is to stay on top of money in/out. Roy
  19. As slow as that? I thought MGR discharge was at 4mph. Every day a learning day. Roy
  20. Yes and no. As @MidlandRedsaid, if that includes stock that is in transit, that may be mostly sold already, but still could show as stock held until it is dispatched to the buyer / retailer and the invoices paid. Roy
  21. Yep, it changes regularly, another day there is a load of steam. Roy
  22. But, again, do we know how widespread those issues are? RMWeb is great, but it also makes mountains out of molehills at times. Any manufacturing process will have failures, that does not mean they are all wrong. Roy
