It's a rat trap, and you've been caught. One of Sir Bob's (sounds like a loco class. S.R. steam for you Kev, or a Spam can) finest . OzzyO.

  4. Hello Rob, I did one of the Slater's 6wheeled M.R. brake vans some time back a nice kit. Built it at first with ridge axleboxes ran like a dog with three legs, rebuilt it with the sprung axleboxes ran like a dream, just sailed through point work, it didn't seem to 'drop' on the point Vees the same as ridged stock or stock with 3 point compensation. OzzyO.
  5. Hayfield, I think that you missed what was said. To turn the ends down on 3mm rod to 1/8" you would need to run the lathe in reverse and use a putting on tool. Believe you me if I could get one I would have one!!!! OzzyO.
  6. Why is it that the cheap Tee shirts are nearly always white?

I'll give you that one. I just add muck.

  7. I don't think that B.R. painted them blue just a sort of blueie, brownie muck colour. Or at least that's the colour that I remember. Nice job by the way. OzzyO.
  8. Just hit the five hundredth post I would have had a pint to celebrate, but off the beer. Dam.

Not bad for you only trashing the windows and only ONE windscreen wiper you've still got three to lose yet . I'll see what I can knacker tonight . OzzyO.
  10. Don't think that I'd used plastic for the water pipes a bit to vulnerable. Brass or nickel silver wire from Eileen's would be better. OzzyO.
  11. Three club nights to rip up a junction and relay it, so we now have half a four track layout, just the other end to do. Oh and the multi coloured spaghetti.

  21. All I am going on, is what it says on the label in that it is a Granite chopping block. It does not mention marble on the label. I have not bought one for use. As I have a nice big lump or ground steel about 1" thick X 12" X 10" that I use as my surface plate. OzzyO.
  22. Hello all, in another post (IIRC it was about setting up chassis), you can get from Tesco's, Asda, etc a granite chopping board for about £10 that's about 12" X 10" X 3/4" that would make a good surface plate for our use. It should last a lifetime. Being granite you should have no problems with it acting as a heat-sink or any flux affecting it. OzzyO.
  23. I remember the 47s having them, but it could be that these blinds are new ones and the ones in the 50 are original ones. OzzyO.
