  1. What the.......... First how to paint a sheep's arse, then flying planes off the Cornish cliffs, men not doing the chores while the other half's out, chickens, guilty dogs, Monty Python and Trumpton? SHMBO is off to the shops so I think I'll go back to bed and have one of my bad dreams. Just for some normality. You ain't seen me. Right!
  2. Fire season's horrible. (That's what we call late summer over here). Remember to drink plenty of water yourself Rick!
  3. Ours neighbors came over last nite so I mixed up them some Irish whiskeys aal round. What tha heck did they thank an Irish whiskey had init! There was a Papa murphys waiting for them at home an'aall! Is it dry yet? ............. The glue! PS. Am bilingual now BTW 7APT7!!!
  4. Thanks D.T. It's no wonder nothing came up when I googled it as I used the American spelling!!! What a doughnut.......
  5. AV is looking great, this thread is very informative and rather entertaining. These scenic techniques are ground breaking.(Edit;; no pun intended) Kal. How's that RAF rescue launch coming along. I have a thing for OO scale boats, there's a Revell corvette knocking about here somewhere and an LCT6 built from the Armagedon kit.
  6. Q: Is that rubberized horse hair? If so where did you get it please?? My dogs destroyed their Cong bed, very expensive and supposedly indestructible. While collecting up the stuffing from the back deck I realized what great scenic material it makes! What with that and the bamboo berry sprigs all I need to do now is throw some sugarpine needles in the blender and spray it all with watered down crafters acrylics.
  7. It's all very quiet on here now Jason has the trains running. We trust that you're having too much fun Jason Mate!
  8. The acetone should be cheap enough and there's no chance of damaging or distorting the parts.
  9. Acetone dissolves fats. Don't breath in the fumes and try not to get it on your fingers too much.I discovered how to do this by accident when removing paint from a kit built loco body many years ago. The loco just fell to bits leaving little trace of the glue!
  10. Wow! Fantastic what real light does for model structures. The second picture looks like a real scale 1:1 mill. I had to get a second opinion from Mrs. Sasquatch.
  11. That's more like it, back on topic. This is a model rail forum after all!!
  12. Good to see you've been having fun with your layout Will, which is coming along nicely BTW. Have you considered crafters acrylics from the local art store. I use black, burnt umber, pewter grey all mixed to varying shades of grime and thinned with water, it sprays on nicely too! The bonus side apart from being cheep is that it washes off with warm water without leaving a trace!! Regards Shaun.
  13. I can talk. Supposed to be working. Mrs. Sasquatch will be home before I know it, then I'll receive a boot in the behind and she's a size 30!!!
  14. That's a point. Shouldn't you be in bed Will?
  15. I got the smellies for Christmas Too!!! ..............All those festive brews no doubt!! What about these Jaz.........
  16. Don't worry Boris they wont find you on this thread, not only are there plenty of bin bags to rummage through but it's too close to home!
  17. Fantastic progress Mike, (very methodical) am excited to see the scenery. I too have found that utilizing more than one method makes for less problems. Sometimes a bit of flat earth is just what is needed, having once worked with a fella who was a member of "The Flat Earth Society" which helped me learn to broaden my horizons! Regards Shaun
  18. Happy New Year everyone. (Glad the fireworks are over and the cat made his way back!)
  19. Happy New Year Don. It's -5C here, a bit smoky, with intermittent load bangs and occasional gun fire!
  20. Double congratulations are in order Jason. 100,000 views and a Happy New Years to you. Look forward to more great modeling from you this year. Shaun.
