  1. Can you not reinforce the tunnel by gluing it to a thin piece of MDF or ply. Make a perfect tunnel mouth former insert and tape in place then spray the end to see where additional filing is required. Yes! If you're not happy start over. Examples: My viaduct. Avon Park the shelf layout. Good luck, Shaun.
  2. Looking good Jason. Good luck in your new place, sounds like you're settling in quite happy there. Regards Shaun.
  3. I was thinking about constructing a viaduct. All clad in Slaters stone sheets or DAS maybe. Any ideas welcome.
  4. Wow! This sounds like a fun evening. If only I lived closer
  5. Looking good. This thread just keeps getting better.
  6. I want to wish you guys a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Albeit a little late.
  7. I do like your post 1334! That front wall to Eller beck is great!
  8. The whole station area is one piece of 1/4" MDF cut out with a jigsaw and pinned onto the ribs I forgot to add another 1/4" under the platforms to compensate for the cork underlay. A mistake I wont make twice You can see the ribs. The foam at back is stuck onto the MDF and underneath at front.
  9. There's 21 doors and windows in our house and he still decides to come down the bloody chimney.

YOU don't want the ones that enter through the windows they tend to remove gifts rather than bring them.

If you watched the, "Family Guy," Christmas special last night, you'd be very glad he comes down the chimney rather than the doors and windows!

  10. There's 21 doors and windows in our house and he still decides to ome down the bloody chimney.

  11. Or you could just sand the angles on a belt sander, just a little mind. I hot glued mine together. Easy to cut apart if needed.
  12. There are lots of details I deliberately left off and quite a few that I never got around to . Then there's all those compromises and I wont mention the huge blunders Have fun. That's the main point.
  13. You'll get there. Same here in my living room. I'll just have another Irish coffee and then put on my tool belt and see if I can't make a dent in this huge pile of MDF. (Irish coffees cos it's Christmas week ) Regards Shaun
  14. aah! Bisto. Colron. Joking aside, it's great to see Allan's passion for model architecture is stronger than ever. Loving the suspense Allan.
  15. I'm on vitamin D and double Tetley rations but it's not doing a dammed thing. The weather here is horrid right now you could get lost on your own property. And as for Christmas, Well some ones gonna have to put a bomb under my ass! (it may be cabin fever)!!
  16. The fun bit! I know what you mean by speeding things up. All those projects I have on the go around here have come to a complete stop. In fact things are starting to go backwards it would seem. Only practice gets things done quicker. Do you some days wake up with a clear head and clear up the mess, put aside the crap, and put sharp blades in everything? that's when you feel like getting stuff done! I wish I had more of those days. Maybe when the sun comes out again, huh.
  17. Think of all the plastic card and strip you could buy with 69 quid! Edit; you could buy a rake of parkside kits for that money!! Have you not met my mate Stanley?
  18. After the snows here I have got lost in my own backyard looking for one of my dogs who keep taking off into the woods to bring back bits of rotting deer that some @$$#o!* has left behind. It all looks the same in there. America has declared war on deer due to their over population and the danger to traffic. We can never drive to town (about 7-8 miles) without seeing a few deer. I say slow down and learn to drive!
  19. Has Stubby seen this? That brick work isn't too bad Jaz! ........ What are you gonna tackle next? I recommend a Wills Craftsman Kit . The watermill is a gem and so is the single road engine shed. In fact they're all very good!! The pub took weeks to complete though. Best thing about them is that they're easily customized. Regards Shaun
