  1. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis wasn't too bad this morning, not helped by it being a bit damp overnight. Time to get breakfast on the go, be back later.
  2. There's bad luck and then there's even worse luck.
  3. Not at all affected by Atlantic storms as the beach at Dawlish faces ESE. Strong easterly winds however are another matter.
  4. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Oven chips do well in an air fryer as they are already coated in oil. As has been stated an air fryer is more of a fan oven than a fryer. You can cook almost anything in an air fryer that you can cook in an oven (except perhaps the Christmas turkey).
  5. Kerch Bridge attack was a missile.
  6. There are about half a dozen places in China named Sheffield, most produce cutlery.
  7. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Had a lazy old day today, just sorting out my acquisitions from yesterday, mostly diecast models mostly for a fiver each. Now to get dinner ready, chicken casserole with dumplings.
  8. Morning all from Estuary-Land. After yesterday's exertions I was well and truly cream crackered. I didn't even look in on Farcebook before going early to bed. I also had a long lie in (to 08:30) and a soak in the bath this morning. Now for that second muggatee, be back later.
  9. HA HAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. As a retiree and as other retiree's will tell you you won't have time.
  10. When I thought that I'd silenced Arthur Itis he sprung a surprise attack. Time for more Nurofen methinks.
  11. I've actually put in a bid for the (not very much) maximum I think its worth. I am not going to increase the bid just wait and see what happens.
  12. Isn't it Divorced, beheaded, died. Divorced, beheaded survived?
  13. Afternoon/evening all from Estuary-Land. Disposed of a number of tokens today at the toy fair but nothing that runs on two parallel metal strips. On our way to Tess Coes we found time to call in to a small exhibition in Thundersly, held in the Methodist church. Arthur Itis popped up a couple of times but I had some Nurofen with me to deal with him.
  14. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Not a good night last night as Arthur Itis was doing his dance. I did eventually get to sleep but he was still hanging about this morning but disappeared when I started moving about. Have a good day @grandadbob, I too will be out shortly, modelling tokens in hand to the toy fair in Brentwood so its be back later.
  15. Evening all from Estuary-Land. No sign of Arthur Itis or Si Attica this evening but pills are being taken to keep them at bay. The Daimler Armoured Car was the Dingo's big brother and developed from the Dingo.
  16. In fact it was a Daimler, the Daimler Armoured Car was fitted with four wheel disc brakes in the early forties. It also had four wheel independent suspension.
