  1. I have been doing some more as we have to stay in, I have made the signal's And planted them, I have all the rodding still to do on them and the pulley's , I have also done more to the embankment's to bring them back to life.
  2. Thankyou Gent's, Much Appreciated,A lot more to signal's than I thought,
  3. Just after this signal to the right of it was the Malvern rd station and bay platform and the Malvern rd loco shed, that would explain your siding's.
  4. Thankyou for that gent's, Useful info, Just the little arm on the right post now if anyone know's what it could be.
  5. Question please, As I have no idea, I am building these signals from MSE part's, they are almost complete , but I have no view's of them from the other side, So can someone tell me, What would be on the indicator brd, I know after this signal would be a bay platform, so I am thinking it would say BAY, But would it show something else or be blank, And the other question is too the right of this indicator brd on the other post is a little arm, But I can see no spectacle plate behind it, so what would it be as it look's fixed, all the call on arm's that I have seen are not fixed, ant info welcome, The location is Malvern road east Cheltenham. Thankyou
  6. Well loving this self isolation thing, Almost finished LINDA now, a year since I last posted, I have a few small jobs remaining, but I have just ran out of propane gas to do the silver soldering , so it will have to wait until we can get out, hope you like her so far.
  7. They say the lock down could last for 6 months Baz, So your need a lot more than 8 kits, Your have them finished by may.
  8. nice, I have made a start on my Dapol, airfix one a while back, I have a motor and chassis for it but comet have no stock of the detail kit now, I expect they will not restock it as the hattons 14xx is available, I must say my hattons 14xx is not the best , runs fine one day and not the next, so I may finish mine soon, look forward to your progress .
  9. The Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust, which has long been established at Washford station and yard on the West Somerset Railway for some 45 years, and have restored the station and signal box as an excellent museum and have a great facility in the old goods yard, have last month been served by the WSR PLC board with a 'Notice to Quit' of 12 months under s.25 Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. This is despite having been granted a new lease by the WSR PLC just under 2 years ago of a further 50 years. Just read This on a model engineering forum, Do not know why, As they are a good attraction for the railway, Anyone know why or whats going on.
  10. I would not jump ship as I have far too much stock , But I do Agree I am really surprised that one of the big manufactures have not done this, Even if it is just too see how the market for this would be, I do expect they will in the not too distant future.
  11. Hornby are going to go into the virtual reality world ,Simon has mentioned this in the past, That is what I am thinking.
  12. Agree ,And, the forklift forks a bit shinier on the ends, and the gas bottle red, Then would look perfect, Pretty good now thou.
  13. Nice workmanship, I can see no reason why you can not fit it permanently now, You may find something a little later, But you will work around it then, I had a similar problem, My (linda) cylinders are bolted to the frame and the cast smokebox, So I had to fit them properly to set all the motion, There is no way I am stripping them again as it was a real pain fitting them, And some issues that arose later, I had to find a way around with out stripping, So I really think seeing what you have done so far YES your be fine fitting the middle cylinders. Bet it is getting heavy now.
  14. Agree, It is a lovely beast, I model gwr 1930s Cheltenham Malvern road, No chance it ever came near here, BUT I GOTTA HAVE ONE.
  15. Thankyou ikcdab, I am getting there slowly, this is the wall today, As you can see it still has white wash on the wall, Lower part this was the locker room, from this point the wall went up vertical, and the roof had a overhang over the wall, I found all this out after I had built my box, So my free standing one is wrong, I do not think it was the original wall, as this was once broad gauge , and was all changed when the honeybourne line was put in alongside, But really hard to get any pictures or info from this location this early, This wall was covered in ivy when I built my box, and a week later ,when I had finished it the ivy was taken down, I was really happy to see this evidence, But too late.
  16. Hi Nick, It will be for a garden railway in 16mm scale, I build in 5 inch gauge at the moment but just thinking ahead as this scale is getting hard work, I have not put all the information above, sorry, So yes gauge 1 size is just the job, I will try and track that mag, as I said any info will help me along the way.
  17. so Hi , I an thinking of building a garden railway later on, I build in 5 inch gauge at the moment, but it is getting heavier, Any way as wife likes gardening the railway has to blend in with it, And not sat on the ground as my back is not good, so a Viaduct it is, But I have no idea where to start, So can anyone point me in the right direction to a book or any info at all on how to build one, Or even some really good photos may be of help. Thanks Garry
  18. Thanks, The problem is thou, I only have made half of what I need, The near side embankment has a row as well, Never seen so many telegraph poles in one place,
  19. Thanks Mikkel, I am having a break from point rodding as I need a lot more, and it is not fun, I have been building telegraph poles ,These are also very time consuming ,so not got a lot to show.
  20. Manufactured, Now that sounds easy, They look nice and big in the picture, But they are Tiny, Nice work, Way too small for me, I would have lost them a couple of times as well.
