  1. I'll let you know if I get any fame and as for the money side, well I'm so out of pocket with all my modelling that I would be richer if I retired and did nothing. Bodge
  2. Ha Ha Jeff, you wont need to worry now, this is my last Article apart from GE and T in Hornby Mag at some time. Save your penny's for the Fell, (Hillside NOT the Loco) Bodge
  3. Some more great pics Nick :locomotive: :locomotive: , thanks. I have re read the first post and I cant get my head around the 1500 ft of scenic, can you please explain again as I'm confused, sorry for being an OLD THICKY. Bodge
  4. I do like the way your attacking the house build with more thought than I would certainly do. All the best with the Sills and Lintels. Bodge
  5. Hi Ray, I know its NOT prototypical but I do fee that Marc's suggestion of a little Ivy will help hide the join, especially from front on views. Good's shed looks the Dogs mate, what will you do for interior colour / brickwork? Bodge
  6. Looking forward to whatever comes from the final plan, its a real inspiration. Bodge
  7. Sounds like I'm sadly lacking in the Book collecting department, good job its the ONLY THING I'm lacking in, hahhaha Mike the original post for messer's Bodgit Flogit and Hackit I had a list of post for you guys, and funnily enough YOU WERE FLOGIT, Jim was Hackit and Jeff was the Junior partner with Rob our Overseas Ambassador. KL2 has some way to go, but with the footings in I recon that the roof will be going on next time Jeff visits so he can make a start and get his timber ordered. I am surprised he hasn't done a deal with the foreman, I remember back in 1963 when my parents were having a new Bungalow built the foreman would even let a few of the guys, including my Dad use the dumper truck at night to BORROW things like Bricks, Cement, Sand, Timber, my dad did all our 3ft high boundary walls and it was a large corner plot. he also built a half brick shed and even BORROWED a couple of window frames as well for the shed. Agh the good old day aye lads. Bodge
  8. Paul, what gives you the right to post such a wonderful layout on here and ME MISS IT in the past, this is a really inspirational bit of Southern Modelling, thank you for the great pics and I will have another look through later when I get in after Club. Great Stuff. Bodge EDIT = Just noticed I have seen it before in Jan 2013.
  9. You'll be telling us next that that's the reason you were laying on your back then, hahhahaaa. Bodge
  10. With my Mags I cut out the relevant bits and put into clear A4 selves to go into the ring binders, that does away with with all the adds and other GARBAGE. I must admit I didn't see any on my visit to Bingley Jason. You must have had a tidy up, hahha. Bodge
  11. Hi Craig, I've just found this and got as far as page 5, very enjoyable so far and I do like the Videos. Well done. Bodge
  12. I'm NOT a great Book collector and so I only ended up with 3 boxes, mind you I have about 3 boxes worth of Mags and a couple of boxes worth of A4 folders with Mag articles such as Layout plans, weathering articles by other people and various things like rivers, and general scenics etc. Plus I have one box of Mags with my articles so I guess I'll probably end up with about 12 to 15 in total. Bodge
  13. Very nice, Very Tetleys as well, its a cracking idea Shaun. Love it Bodge
  14. Hi Both great pics, I like the LLangollen, some great scenic's along the route, very much the same with the SVR of course. If you ever go to Didcot again Pendon is well worth the visit, but do check the opening times as there a bit limited. Glad you got home safely and had a good weekend inhaling some of Britain's finest sent's, far better than Channel No 5. Bodge
  15. The investigation could be lead by, Inpecta Clos-set, (now say that bit in French) Bodge
  16. Are you sure you don't mean Magic Mushrooms? Bodge
  17. Looks more like a long term retirement project there Shaun. Bodge

  20. Nice work on the Cottages Jim, Bodge
  21. Looking good Ian, cant wait to see the track going down. Bodge
  22. Hi Polly and Ray, some great shots there and getting all the Blues together was good. I haven't been to Didcot for a few years now as I would go there by Train from Eastleigh for some spotting when I lived down that way, or call in if I was passing in the Car whilst traveling down for meetings from here to Portsmouth. Looks like GWR will have some tasty stock and lots of ideas from your trip over the weekend. Did you call into Pendon as its only about a Mile from Didcot and is a MUST for any GWR fan? Bodge
  23. Hi Nick, I've gone the other way, Born in Plymouth and now living in South Derbyshire. I must say I'm more than impressed with the hills, I've been trying to do similar on our Clubs Layout but with minimal success, that really is a cracking job. I will be starting my own permanent layout soon after a House Move and I've already got most of the stock including the Blue Pullman, so I'll be back for some scenic tips as I'm hoping to have enough room to do Wye Dale although I haven't even been up there on a field trip yet to get the feel of the place. A couple of mates and I did a Train ride last week from Burton to Sheffield, out to New Mills, Bus to the other New Mills Station, train to Buxton, bus down to Matlock, then Train back to Derby and back to Burton. It was the Wayfarer and only cost £5.80 for the day. I'm looking forward to more pics and some long distance shots of the layouts progress. All the best, Bodge
