  7. Morning Mike, I'm seeing my Quack on Friday to see if I can see a different surgeon about my Right Hip and Right Knee. Good luck AND AS I WAS TRYING TO TELL JEFF LAST YEAR IF YOU HAVE A HIP PROBLEM YOU CANT BEND DOWN UNDER A LAYOUT HE SHOULD DO A LIFTING FLAP HE'S NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER. Hahahahhahahaaaaeeeee Andy
  8. Nice Brit Rob, Jeff, just been trying to catch up, I'm out all day today, and no time now, maybe tonight AFTER a couple of hours on Kingsley. Will I be laying track and some Grass tonight? And
  9. Hi Ray, the boat looks better with every shot, is Polly doing the painting? And
  10. Great job Kal and thanks for all the advice, Its really nice to see a modeller who ISN'T AFRAID to show warts and all, mistakes do happen, and sometimes they can be repaired, you did a great job and well done for noticing the wrong size font, I probably wouldn't have done, In fact I replaced a number on my O Gauge Ivatt Tank and it was George T that pointed it out to me, he then replaced it with a new set of the correct size. Andy
  11. Much better Jason, that makes a real difference to the overall look of the Loco, and TBH it would past muster as a pic of the real thing with Bacup as it back drop. Andy
  12. Well its the best copy I've ever seen, well done David. Andy
  13. Well said Jeff, I know I hassle EVERYONE for Grass, or in Polly's case Track on GWR but its all done in the best possible taste. A good layout is always better than a quick layout. Here endeth the sermon. Bodge
  14. Very good job mate, will there be a man on the Bog? HAHAAAhahahaaaheeeee Andy
  15. Hi Adrian, I've used that flooring stuff in the past, the first lot I got was from Wicks, then they did a more hairy softer stuff that was useless, my next lot was from B & Q and is still not quite as nice as the first lot. It also breaks up for nice rock faces. Andy
  16. What are you thinking of Shaun? more moody shots I hope. Andy
  17. Come on you two show us what you've done, the Tree looks nice Jaz. Andy
  18. Unpack your wagons and you can do them over breakfast, hahahha I will have a look for some at the Mansfield Show this weekend, I have some Smiths in one of the boxes somewhere, and they do fret with 3 Link and Instanter. Any idea which ones Jason uses? EDIT = I was at a show a little while ago and a chap was selling chain from the roll, any length you wanted but I never really looked at it to see if it would be suitable. Andy
  19. Looking very good Mick, not short of a bit of inspiration then, do you get much freight through on that line? Andy
  20. Jeff the conversation over the last few days has also convinced me to go down the 3 link route on Wye Dale, the shunting will be right in front of me and at a height that is comfortable as well. I will be sticking to Kadee's on Kingsley as it may well turn out to be a long term Exhibition Layout and therefore trying to use 3 Links at a show (and speaking from experience with Trebudoc) is a pain in the A**. Looking at the pics of you shunting had me worried to begin with but as you say you mastered it in 30 Mins so on a permanent home layout it will be much easier once your used to it. On our Clubs O Gauge layout they have to have 4 Link on some wagons due to buffer head length for some reason, possibly the curve of the track although all stock should be the same. Andy
  21. Hi Jeff, I will try the Video again later. Re the Solar Panels, our Daughter has them and has a nice refund on her bill, BUT her original bill is higher than it used to be so she isn't actually saving any money at all. One of the Bungalows we went to look at had them and the owner confirmed almost the same thing, and we would have had to enter into an agreement to keep them or Pay for there removal and the roof reinstated. He has now sold the property and I believe HE had to pay to have them removed before he sold the place. Re the couplings, if I had a Terminus like Jason's in Steam era than I am sure I would go down the 3 link route again, I had them in about 1980 or so when I used to build all my coal wagons from the Slaters range, mind you tension locks were like house bricks in those days. It has made me consider converting my 16T minerals to 3 link for the permanent rakes as a start, (I do have some Smiths 3 Links in a draw somewhere) it would not only look better but also be more realistic for the Loco to back up to slacken the chains and take up one at a time. More food for thought. And
  22. Much better Jason, it really makes a difference on a small layout with just the odd loco appearing, on the BIG roundy roundy types it never quite so noticeable but NEEDS doing all the same. You have given me food for though whilst I'm waiting to start TLGP. Andy.
  23. The Plan looks good Guys, I like the Broom Junction idea, Looking forward to seeing it develop of the course of time. All the best, Andy
  24. Failed the Entry exam, it didn't work on E-Mail either, you must be tired, hahah Andy
