  1. All, These are all great suggestions as to the why we should get a Card Reader and this is not the issue, as a Club we all agree that we need one for the Show, the issue is how do we get one and get it linked to the Clubs Bank Account?? It seems the stumbling block is the type of Club and the Bank Account we have. Some of the Card Reader suppliers won't issue us a Reader because we are classed (as Chris explains in his OP) at best as a "Community Group". So the question is how did those Clubs that have them, get round this restriction without having to use an individual Club members account and trusting that person, that is not in any way casting aspersions on any of our Club members 🙂 Regards Neal Vice-Chairman Bentley Model Railway Group P.S. Seems Chris has just beat me to the response 😜😜😜
  2. I thought all Peco points now come as Unifrog, which includes the switching wire if you want the frog powered?? Regards Neal.
  3. More like Bovington than Tidworth for training. I have it on good authority that the 3 Tank regiments have been told to 'donate' 1 Challenger 2 per Squadron for Ukraine. So they're all getting them ready now. Regards Neal.
  4. @woodenhead This was posted on the N Gauge Forum yesterday, which might explain the issue with Rails: https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=52258.465 Afternoon all, So the Rails shipment is sat in our warehouse through no fault of us or Rails. It is simply that the shipment is large enough to require a pallet. This was all picked and ready to be collected on Wednesday - but the collection was not made. It was rearranged for Thursday and again not made. After several phone calls we find their driver had run out of hours and being semi-rural had not made it to us. We were assured that a collection would happen on Friday - but you guessed it! A no show. We then rebooked with a new company for today - now we have lots of snow on the ground and with the access on a slope we deemed it not safe for a tail lift truck and have rearranged for tomorrow. I don't want to risk a product being damaged in the ice and snow. Smaller deliveries have gone out by courier last week and some even today after the man from DPD walked down the road to get to us - and then shuttled back and forth with several boxes! Its been very hard work for all of us and its frustrating for our retailers and particularly Rails - sadly there is just noting we can do. They will be with everyone as soon as we can. Direct orders we hope may go out today - we are waiting (in the VERY cold) for Royal Mail to see if they arrive - there are lots of parcels to go out and I'm dreading them not coming before the strike action later in the week. Many thanks Andy Cheers Neal.
  5. Wow!!! That's come on leaps and bounds after I saw it on Saturday Andy. Looks brilliant. Cheers Neal. P.S. Nice to finally meet you on Saturday.
  6. For what?? I haven't insulted Brian or the Team in any way whatsoever, just asking a question. I don't see why I need to be sorry for asking a question!!!! Cheers Neal.
  7. Brilliant, thanks for that link... and I'll definitely follow it up. Cheers Neal.
  8. Andy, Which kind of answers my question of apathy towards N Gauge. I didn't say that Brian and the Team should do the same for N Gauge, but as a Wishlist Poll hasn't been run since 2019 surely an approach to the NGS or even the N Gauge Forum, https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php should've at least been tried before dismissing it out of hand especially as the N Gauge version has been run in the past. Regards Neal.
  9. Brian, So have the NGS been approached again this time to assist in running it?? Regards Neal.
  10. And where's the N Gauge equivalent??? No wonder N gauge is seen as the poor relation!! Regards Neal.
  11. Steve, Oh good it's not just me then, I've had issues trying to fit Hunt Couplings into Farish Sprung boxes. Cheers Neal.
  12. Erm yes they do, I have some Hornby TT:120 stuff, albeit under the Arnold Label, which runs beautifully 😜😜😜 Let's hope their British stuff is as good. Regards Neal.
  13. Looking good Andy. What did you use for glazing?? I've got a load of Richards vehicles to do. Cheers Neal.
  14. Andy, I take it then that these are different to the ones Cavalex are doing of the Redland/LaFarge PGA's?? Cheers NEal.
  15. I'm trying to find out when Flying Scotsman stopped using it's 2nd Tender and what livery it was in during it's use?? I came across a previous RMWeb thread, but it's been archived and doesn't give much information on dates etc. I've managed to find photos of it in the the late 60's in Apple Green and mid 70's in Blue/Grey, but there doesn't seem to be anything after 1974, so was it not used after 1974?? Or was it used in the late 70's/early 80's and if so in what livery?? TIA Neal.
  16. JZ I feel really sorry that you were abused as a child, and it is abhorrent that you were treated as such. But where does the line get drawn?? You said that the abuser was a member of a Church, so therefore do you object to people putting Churches on their layouts?? You probably don't, but hopefully you get my drift and it's not a dig at you personally. My point is, is that there is a very fine wavy line between what is historically accurate and what os percieved to be offensive by some people?? I know Al, the chap who built Bridge at Remagen, spent a lot of time deliberating about whether to put Swastikas on any of his locos and military vehicles on the layout, in the end he decided not to, that's his choice, would I have done it?? Don't know actually, historically accurate for sure, but in the realms of offensiveness pretty high probably . Regards Neal.
  17. I was just about to say the same thing. It would make sense for Bachmann/Farish to look at the Peak considering that they have previously mentioned that the old tooling is damaged beyond repair, also having recently re-released the Class 40 it can't be that much of a step to the Peak. Also it is one of the Loco's that hasn't been looked at for quite a while, I think the last release has got be nigh on 15 years ago. Cheers Neal.
  18. And apparantly you didn't get confused by the fact that there were more than 1 point on the layout 😜😜 Good to see you over the weekend matey. Cheers Neal.
  19. Thankfully by the looks of it yes!!
  20. They're going to shrink their Deltic to TT:120 😜😜 Cheers Neal. P.S. Or even better N Gauge 🙏🙏
  21. Damn, Weekends either side of my trip to Daughters house this weekend..... Aahh well next time maybe. Cheers Neal.
  22. No that was Audie Murphy 😜😜
  23. And it's getting a bit boring now 🤣🤣
  24. I spotted that as well and was going to mention it, you beat me to it 😆 But other than that, it's looking great Andy. Would love to see it in the flesh sometime. I might meet up with you in the shop one day when I'm at my daughters in Strensall. Regards Neal.
  25. If you look at the Catenary you'll see that it's Viessmann which is already available Viessmann 4200 Gauge TT Starter set Catenary modellbahnshop-lippe.com Regards Neal.
