Hello The Eastern Counties signs as well as the Fenchurch St Peter nameboards on the signal box were made by James Barraclough at Track-side Signs to whom we always owe a large debt of gratitude. Cheers George
-
Hello After an absence of two years The Wrecking Crew are pleased to announce the return of Wrec-rail next year. It will be held on June 30th at the usual venue in Little Bowden near Market Harborough in Leicestershire. More details will be announced in due course. Cheers George

Hello Fenchurch St Peter will be travelling to the north-East in a couple of weeks time to appear at the splendid Railex North-East Show. Say hello if you are there. Cheers George
-
Hello Sorry Ben but I don't. It was not a regular working but ran on this route at the whim of the signallers though we run it and a possibly fictional northbound working as often as we think is reasonable. Cheers George
-
Hello I have dealt with them several times, never had any problems. Brilliant products whether from stock or custom made, nothing is too much trouble. Cheers George
-
Hello Steve at Railtec Transfers will do any ones you require. I also put them onto the outside of the destinations boxes. No lights as I turn them off anyway. Ours will feature destinations that no Cl122 ever ran to. Cheers George

Hello I can take no credit for any of these layouts, I merely do as I am told. I know my place. Cheers George -

Hello John is coming to collect me from the care home at 1030, just got to get the Zimmer frame fired up. See you later. Cheers George -
Hello Thanks very much for the link Ben. Very interesting collection of pictures, as you say probably taken around the same time as the Andrew Ingram pictures. It is good to know that a relatively remote branch-line was recorded so well. This was also one of the aims of building the layout. Cheers Georgei

Hello Would that be you or one of your layouts Dave? Or indeed both together? Cheers George -

Hello Must be nice to be an exhibitor at Show-case; maybe one day when I get better at this modelling malarkey. For now the stewarding will keep me happy. Cheers George -
Hello I'm doing two this weekend Malcolm, Watford Saturday and Derby Sunday, nothing like a bit of flagellation for purging the soul. By the way if you are looking for an East Anglian layout in the future we've got one called Fenchurch St Peter. Cheers George
-
Hello The two Mk 1s are indeed a BSK and an SK. That is what the two in the TVP DVD appear to be. As for the next layout there are two in the planning stage, one being smaller is nearer to starting than the second. The first is another East Anglian layout circa 1965 which will use some of the stock from Fenchurch with a few additions. The second will be set in Northumberland in the mid/late 80s and like our Towcester layout is another 'what if' journey. That will not be about for a couple of years and will also depend on my health as indeed will the exhibiting of our current layouts. Thanks as usual for your interest. Cheers George

Hello A little Bank holiday bump for this show and also to say that John, Richard and I will be there with 'Towcester' Cheers George
-
Hello I shouldn't worry too much about playing the game of what if. I have done it twice using Northamptonshire locations. These were Brixworth Station on the Northampton/Market Harborough branch, closed in 1980, brought back to life in the mid 1990s and Towcester on the Northampton/Banbury/Stratford line closed 1964 brought back to life in 1977. The GC is a fascinating choice and in that hackneyed old cliché so beloved on here I shall be watching with interest and a certain amount of envy. Cheers George
-
Hello Steve I confess, I wrote it. The others do all the hard work. Glad you liked it. Time to build a new layout now. Cheers George
-
Hello Fenchurch article in Rail Express Modeller is now on sale. As I said a little while back the pictures by Ian Manderson are superb and well worth a view. Cheers George

Hello John and I had a great weekend with Towcester, it was good to see so many people watching the layout and seeming to enjoy it. Special thanks to our celebrity guest operators Mick Bryan and Dave Tailby for their invaluable help and an even bigger thank-you to the team who organised it for putting on an excellent show and for inviting us. We look forward to returning next year with Georgemas Junction. Time now for a lie down in the dark room. Cheers George

Hello Towcester had a very successful outing to York. A transformer for part of the lighting rig failed on set up which needed a trip to Maplins on Saturday morning to cure it. Also we had a couple of derailments caused we think by a baseboard joint widening due to the heat in the upper floor with the sun streaming in through the huge glass area. A G clamp soon cured that and things were fine. Lots of people saw the layout over the weekend with large crowds at some of the time. Very nice to have such a good audience. A very tiring weekend but well worth the effort. A very special thanks to our guest celebrity operators Mick Bryan and Dave Tailby for their invaluable help. Cheers George

Hello Towcester will be heading for York in an hours time. Please say hello if you see us, we don't bite, honest. Cheers George
-
Hello Towcester will be leaving, er, Towcester, on Friday morning and setting up in York in the afternoon. Looking forward very much to a show we have not attended before. I just have to find somewhere to hide John's eggs. We also have a celebrity guest operator for part of the weekend. Please say hello. Cheers George
-
Hello Still thinking about it Steve. The wagon I would use is a hopper kit available from Wizard models but it is a bit of a longer term project due to pressure of other projects; and of course caring for John. Cheers George
-
Hello Or whose bum to bite but we're working on it. Cheers George
