Those coaches and City of Truro covering an Exeter to Plymouth local in 1957 would good. Like this: Right number of coaches and livery, but wrong location (Sarfhampton) and some funny loco at the other end. Anorak mode on: P.s Rob are you sure about the coach running numbers, as unless I'm misreading the numbers, W4927W is fine for D95 (1927 build), but the other two may be wrong - W4582W was a Centenary Third (Comet W71) (and pictured in Russell), and W6607W was a 1936 Collett Composite (Comet W49). Anorak removed...

Taken from the same Bury article above: “The new board will be bringing in key individuals to assist in bringing new ideas and business models to ensure financial security.” Yeah right - an interest rate of 138% per annum and borrowings from an organisation called "Cash4Assets" secured on the ground. They sound like the sort of new ideas guaranteed to bring financial security. I wonder if the plans for the Gigg Lane Housing Estate/Retail Park already exist?

Well they did let a bunch of "Cowboys" loose on it last week .... anything to make a few bob to pay for the Wembley White Elephant. The atmosphere at matches was so much better when England were on tour in the provinces a few years ago.

Three views of Afon Conwy: Afon Conwy looking upriver from Gorse Hill late on a summer evening. Afon Conwy and Conwy Castle and town, photo taken on a rather duller day. Flowing into the sea, as seen from the Great Orme -
I see that Mark Clattenburg has been dropped from the Premier League's refereeing "A Team" for this weekend, after "travel to match" irregularities, so he could get to an Ed Sheeran concert in time. I would have expected the penalty for attending an Ed Sheeran concert to have been much harsher.

Innocent times indeed - I wonder if you would be allowed to video that many young boys in their trunks and shorts in 2014, and I wonder how many of the boys waiting at the end of the platform and around the crossing gates would be misbehaving themselves nowadays. This Railway Roundabout video is also very good too, and the first 30 seconds or so actually feature Brent in colour before heading down the Kingsbridge Branch. It might be of interest to thread followers who haven't seen it before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=7NcuJOQZ76A#t=0 Edit: Noticed some foreign coaches (circa 1'18) and something very special for T & A around 4 mins in (or near the end!) (Somebody needs to embed it properly for me)

Might be - you can never have too much of City of Truro. Enjoyed the NRM as usual, and SWMBO was much taken by the "Warehouse" this time for some reason. Also managed a round trip to Whitby on the NYMR, but they seemed to be having terrible trouble with several motive power failures last week. 5029 was partially hidden behind other stuff, but was apparently in service the day after our visit - that would have been better than the Q6 and Rat that we had.
