  5. Just had a flash of inspiration after last post,you chaps should now eat crepe and chips and coq au van ,possibly a new layout DITD ala Francaise!

The system the trams run on is also used for trolleybuses,when they reach a stop a charge is put into the motor and it carries on to the next stop a tecnology that makes tram systems a bit cheaper.Burt Lancasters film The Train was on today a brilliant film ,perhaps it was a PLM pacific it looked like it?

  11. Inspirational ,every post this gets better ,the water tower has that certain look of realisim without overdoing things this a layout to realy watch grow.
  12. The pics of the boxes very interesting ,the pic of the signal shows the horrible County offices that a certain Mr Pooley designed and is known as "Pooley,s folly" you can even see this object when on the wcml at Cheddington.Remember the wine tanks and the coal ,we had an 08 then.

As the saying goes"It growed like topsy" I admire your ability to see the next phase of a layout this one is looking as good as the others.Liked that SR van nice see to the south represented ,you will have to provide signals on this one with maybe a small box on the platform.Will you be running a flying banana dmu?

Years ago at Aylesbury in the sixties when I worked for WHSmiths I had to go to the station every morning to sort out the newspapers ,the Northampton parcels was bein.shunted and a van split the points at the north end of the station.Everything was sorted out quickly and hushed up ,pity I didnt have a camera to record it.

  17. Any stairlifts should be painted in GWR colours,does it require a staff or is it automatic block ?   24. Like the pics,what coulor is the second parcels van in the parcel train I have not seen a Gresley in that tone before?
