  1. The flats lookabsolutely fantastic ,I could imagine a certain Mr Poirot living there ,the attention to detail is terrific you are recreating a wonderful time in history.
  2. The building at St Blazey looks very run down and not used at all,the line to the cement works that passes under the main line looked very unused .Par could almost be a GWR station when no trains in situ.Is the junction that faces towards Penzance used at all as the tracks look very rusty?Liked the level crossing and box on the Newquay line also the canal very piteresque.
  3. If the technocrats had thier way I bet there would be one box for the whole of the UK .
  4. Pity they coul not put a control panel in a box in Cornwall to control Cornwall surely all this long distance signaling is not a good idea?
  5. You are a layout producing machine ,were do you get the inspiration from?
  6. Retiring three yeaars ago was the best thing I have ever done I now help on the R&CR ,activly support the RNLI sales and education ,and find time to go on regular weekends at Warner Holiday venues ,build my model railway and spend time on this wonderful website.Anyone who carries on working after retirement is doing himself harm and shortening his life an ex colleague of mine ie working six days a week because he has no hobbies and cant stand being at home, sad. It will soon be your time to enjoy yourself ,bus pass in hand ,senior railcard at the ready to go out into the wonderful world of retirement(I SHOULD SAY FUN FUN FUN)
  7. Went past St Blazey yesterday looking very forlorn and un loved was dissapointed not see any 37,s lurking but did see a prairy tank at Bodmin Rd on the way home today, chap at Penzance told me that Swindon box will be controling all signals in the west so by to all the lower quadrant sempaphores by 2014 .He also said that the Chinese have put a good bid in for the franchise not good.
  8. Les are you going to model the elephants leaving the station ,that would be eye catching.
  9. Whens the best time to see freight around Cornwall is Par still an active spot ?
  10. Were,s the best place for a pastie in Penzance I am there next week for a session riding the branches and want to sample Cornwalls finest.
  11. Like the way the track is coming on really flows and the buildings well what can you say.
  12. Liked the first article your locos are something else, good to see the streaks always enjoyed them going past Wood Green in the fifties. I think the prototype Deltic always looked out of place in the UK but the production locos were the bees knees listening to them belting past at a 100mph was a wonderful experience. How many locos have you on the roster and how many do you run at any time?
  13. The are not real trees ,which kit did you build them from ,if anyone complains you can move them somewhere else and put a dob of white glue under them.] !
  14. Modeling project,no a journey through the mists of time interspersed with a diversion to pie land ,and the odd 37 making an appearance, wow I am getting all mistiy eyed ,think its the lovely tasty steak pie and chips I had for lunch.
