  1. You could take a series of overlapping photos and send them to id backscenes, I would aim at a 25% overlap as a minimum, they will combined them together and produce a print around 8 or 10 foot long for around £16. Sorry I can't give a link but googling should give you the company website. I used a medium resolution setting on my camera and they removed some of the unwanted rubbish for me.
  2. MK 1s on the WHR being involved in a crash, I would hope was very low, being single line and lowish speeds. Whether they would be allowed to operate between Carnforth and the start of the single line in Scotland would be a different matter.
  3. I met Terry on the footplate of David Shepherd's 9f, a very nice bloke, it was a couple of years before he passed away. He seems to look a lot taller in the footage, than my recollection.
  4. The support coach could well be the same colour as the tenders.
  5. I've seen the Armstrong goods, I don't remember seeing the 4-4-0.
  6. It could be freight grey, which is quite dark.
  7. I think that the sheets went to Squires along with the kits, so online and at shows where they attend, plus the shop in Bognor. You may want to contact them to confirm, their online catalogue has not been updated since 2020.
  8. You need to add a 'T' spanner to your PW set, for undoing chair screws.
  9. Sorry, not the Wills sheet, but the SEFincast sheet. I will edit my original post.
  10. I have heard from a friend of his, that he died of a heart attack, whilst or shortly after playing squash.
  11. The cost of CDL would be tax deductible as an operating cost, so over time, they would get the money back.
  12. I have never been able to cut Slaters 4mm embossed brick sheets, SEFinecast sheet is marginally better, but needs to be broken out. I have a Cameo 3.
  13. Canadian and American sleepers have clear glass and curtains, as you use the compartment during the day, unless you go to observation/ shop car. Dome cars and complementary drinks in Canada.
  14. I think that the Ratio hoist was the one at Laira, but I expect that they were pretty much the same.
  15. If that's the case, why did they spend the money on a judicial review? Fitting CDL isn't a 5 minute job, we (DML) got 6 weeks to turnaround a HST set.
  16. I don't know about your particular diagram, but all the sleepers that I have travelled in had clear glass and either blinds or curtains.
  17. I wasn't thinking so much for construction work, more when maintenance is required, track cleaning, recovery of recalcitrant stock etc.
  18. When I were a kid, 60 odd years ago, getting off a moving slam door train was de rigueur. Nelson's first and then BIGs, CEPs and finally VEPs. The odd SUB and LAV.
  19. In the diary, I now have to work out the logistics.
  20. You can get 2021 bits and/or kits from Dave Ellis at Nucast Partners, I recently started building a saddle tank and lost a couple of the splashers, a phone call to him resulted in the recalcitrant parts, plus an unexpected bonus an Armstrong Standard Goods with a Dean tender. I don't have the contact number to hand, but if you pm on Tuesday morning, to remind me to find it. It's currently too cold to go over the workshop as a special trip.
  21. Will you be building a cover for the drop-down section, to avoid damaging it whilst it's down and you're up against working on the main board?
  22. I was under the impression that the terminus was going to be Euston, one day, I hadn't realised that it was going to be Brighton Sea Front.
