  1. Kevin, Have you tried ringing Peco technical department? I have some good, if not cheap results, from doing that.
  2. Why not do what the diagram suggests? Use a light spring to hold the switch blades for the required route and let the train push through them, they will just spring back, when not held open by a flange.
  3. If I was an 0 gauge modeller I would be jumping at the bit at those prices. 00 coaches are retailing at around 80 odd quid each! Scratch or kit built 0 gauge coaches have got to be worth a lot more than that!!
  4. Run round the train, shunt the train onto the loop, remove the toad and shunt it into the loco release road, collect the out goings and place them on the toad, and then shunt the incomings.
  5. The limit of my knowledge is a repurposed Collet vehicle, but I can't recall anything else. I have not been there since the mid 80's.
  6. I have just bought a set of 4.3 shank, brass collets from Amazon for £6.49. They range from 0.5mm to 3.2mm
  7. As are the wing rails towards the Vee, after the knuckle.
  8. With roller gauges, you can wind some fine wire in the grooves, to lift the sides of the gauge high enough to allow the foot of the rail to be clear of the gauge. For triangular gauges, file a bit off of the outside ears to allow the rail to twist.
  9. When travelling to Strasbourg last September, from Paris our TGV hit the low 190's, we left late and arrived only a few minutes late.
  10. We don't get to hear the half of it, down here in the shires!
  11. Hurrah, some good news for a change !! They make travelling in London so much easier.
  12. Of the choices, a symmetrical tandem is probably the easiest, similar to the Peco product, handed tandems have too many options which makes getting the 3rd common crossing in quite difficult, especially in 00.
  13. That's why they were nicknamed Concertina's. I have a few of them in the stash as well!
