RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 10, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 10, 2017 That would be good. But is there any confirmation of such an announcement? - I've not seen anything. The latest announcements had the following for future ODC N gauge vehicles: 1:148 Oxford Automobile NHI001 Hillman Imp Willow Green NXF001 Jaguar XF Carnelian Red 1:148 Oxford Commercials NFDE001 Ford 400E Van British Rail NFT022 Ford Transit Mk5 Network Rail Response Unit NPB008 Commer PB Royal Mail NTRAC004 Fordson Tractor Matt Grey NTRAIL006 Mobile Trailer Buns on Wheels 1:148 Oxford Fire NSFE007 Scania Pump Ladder Surrey F & R 1:148 Oxford Haulage NMB006 Mercedes Actros Curtainside Sparks NSHL03TK Scania Highline Tanker Eddie Stobart NTCAB005 Scania T Cab Tipper Tinnelly NVOL4003 Volvo FH4 Curtainside Knowles 1:148 Oxford Military NBSA008 Motorbike & Sidecar RAF Blue NCHT001 Churchill Tank Kingforce NLAN188020 Land Rover Series I 88" Canvas REME NLRL001 Land Rover Lightweight United Nations 1:148 Oxford Omnibus NNR005 New Routemaster Propercorn NSEA001 Burlingham Seagull Wallace Arnold And we're still waiting for previously announced new items such as the Ford Cortina and MGB Roadster. G. Taff Davies has said on Facebook that the recently introduced 1:76 Sherpas will be replicated in N but this is only in the planning stage at the moment. grahame
Taff Davies has said on Facebook that the recently introduced 1:76 Sherpas will be replicated in N but this is only in the planning stage at the moment. Thanks. Sounds a little tenuous and not exactly an official announcement yet. If it does come to fruition it'll probably not be available for several years with the current growing list of outstanding announcements. Oxford seem to be getting themselves in to the same promised announcements on announcements and backlog debacle that Dapol got themselves in to. G. darrel
A British Rail permanent way crew bus from the 1980s would surely be a big seller. Every 1980s layout needs at least one
tamperman36
you can get the parts to make your own with the choice of chassis cabs if you go to "Road transport images" (no connection) however the cost adds up and for some it would be much better if they could buy a ready to plant model. One vehicle which would be nice is a "Bruff" road rail truck, but that will definatly need to be scatch built.

G. ,After explaining the background to the delays back in January 2017, it was good to see Oxford's update on 1 June 2017;- "Many will be aware that we were are late on a whole group of products in the N Scale range. It will be quiet over the next 4/6 weeks, but then they will all progressively become available over the next 3/4 months". The Sherpa, Escort, Sierra, Cavalier might be announced for late 2018. grahame
The Sherpa, Escort, Sierra, Cavalier might be announced for late 2018. Might, eh? Sounds even more tenuous and vague than 'planning stage'. But it would be nice. I suppose we 'might' also even get that promised hottest ever summer by then. ;-) G

He got a Bedford TL cab from RTI. I don't know how far he got but you might be able to find out on the Yellow Personnel Carrier thread. Steve

grahame
If we're wish listing vehicles we used to own/drive then for me it would be a Hillman Imp (first company car), Renault 4 (first car that I had permanent loan of - the gear stick was like the handle of a walking stick sticking out of the dashboard) and a Mk2 Escort van (first vehicle I owned). Luckily ODC have 'promised' a 1:148 scale Hillman Imp, but the others seem a long way off . . . . . G.

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted November 5, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 5, 2017 I seem to have owned an eclectic number of cars that are unlikely to be modelled in my favourite 1/76 scale. Nearholmer
Ready to plant horse-drawn vehicles are pretty rare, and would serve a lot of pre-1960, and even later for a few things, in both 4mm and 7mm.

Yes it was a repaint (I worked for a small garage at the time) and wanted the brightest yellow I could find and Ford Signal yellow fitted the bill. Thanks for the heads up about the Maestro.
