Looks like some of the 77's/ EM2's are left.

John.

You're correct, my apologies. Had an ebay setting (postage location) that showed no items in stock - when there are actually still 39.

Sorry guys and girls, my bad.

Afternoon all,

For all (any?) Class 50 fans in the Lincoln area, I picked up a copy of Haynes Owner's Workshop Manual on the Class 50 (I think this is a fairly recent publication?) this afternoon from 'The Works' in Pennells' Garden Centre for £6.00 - compared with a cover price of £22.99.  If anybody else is interested, there were a fair number of copies when I was in there at about 3.30 pm.  Certainly worth the asking price in my view, especially since we only went there in the first place for gardening inspiration!!!

Happy hunting,

Paul

Not trains I know, but I also like model boats.  If anyone fancies dipping a toe in the water, so's to speak, there's currently an offer of three editions of Model Boats magazine for £1 - https://mb.secureorder.co.uk/MODB/PPC18/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1M7byeq22QIV6hXTCh27qwN_EAAYASAAEgLxT_D_BwE .  It does require a direct debit mandate and unless you cancel you'll subsequently pay the standard rate of £10.99 a quarter (best read the small print first).

Hobbycraft have stopped selling basswood apparently. Picked up two lengths and got told it "was dead stock" and I could have it free!

When I used to work there it was a pain to merchandise, low value stock, and i usually broke one or two before theyve even been put in the stand, used to give away quite a few as well

Agree completely, but the kids broke more than I ever did. The stand didn't help too.

Not sure how long it's been at this price, £130 down from £220. 30-525 Bachmann Shakespeare Express Train Pack

http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/42345/30-525-Bachmann-Shakespeare-Express-Train-Pack

Guessing this is the whole "why don't people model preserved trains/railways?" thing. One loco, three coaches and a diecast bus for that price is pretty decent.

Do they still claim "each manual based on a full strip down and rebuild"?

Sorry, didn't look that closely but it certainly had a lot of reference picture of A3s in various states of construction and servicing. It would probably be a useful reference work if you are building a kit of the same.
