  2. Would the BR modified chimney's be available as spares? I would love to have a proper chimney for my conversion of 7820 to preserved 7829 (yes I know I need to change the hornblocks too) (And yes I know this will void the lifetime warranty)

  5. Seems the MR page has been updated to include the EP of the Class 12, along with artwork and changes to the numbers on said models. (For example, the preserved 15224 is now in plain green, not green w/wasp stripes) EDIT: Could have just used a picture 15224, but had 15221 as the text. https://www.modelrailoffers.co.uk/pg/167/Project-Class-11-12#class12
  6. That is correct. Without the cowl around the hand brake, that is a locomotive that doesn't have the rear cab sheet. Speaking of these, query about the painted sample of Victory, the original artwork shows the cab to have the round windows, but the sample has the new style of windows. Since this is based off a real loco (and preserved), there are pictures of it with the round windows. I haven't seen any pictures of it with this style of windows. (Ignoring the later modifications to the back windows and additional bunker). Were these windows on the sample for just showing off the tooling, or is this how the product is going to be? (I personally don't mind either, was going to use this for freelance, but since learning it is preserved...)
  7. Does anyone know where to get spares of the outside steam pipes? (Instead of trying to backdate a BR one). Not end of the world, I have other options in my allocation list, but already have an inside piped version from the previous release batch.
  8. Question, as I've not seen it mentioned, what is the 47 on either end of the railmotor? Seems it is only on the two chocolate/cream versions. I've attached a photo of mine, which seems to have a piece of dust on the inside of the driver windows.
  9. Looking through the 2024 Announcements, and specifically at the list of previously announced products, two 88DS locomotives caught my eye. I don’t recall seeing these announced before, and can’t seem to find any mention anywhere. RM doesn’t have any results, neither just looking through the 2023 diesel thread. Google result only comes up with two hidden results on Rainbow Railways site, with no artwork, but from 2023 announcement. Hattons product database has no mention of these either.   10. Not to bring this up again, but in Great Western Castle Class 4-6-0 Locomotives 1923-1959 by David Maidment and Bob Meanley, on page 60 shows an image of 4074 in October of 1924, clearly with the lubricator pipe cover.

  13. Is there anywhere that is noted what the differences are between this version and 958012 (the 60’s railtour version)? Locomotion’s site does not say anything about this specific model.
  14. Received my Torquay Manor today (first of a few). Don’t want to repeat everything else has said 😉 but the few things that stick out to me the most; -The front of the bogie is by far the best in rtr, and having an option of removing the detail and throwing an NEM socket into it -The drawbar is repeating what others have switched away from, but done way better. I prefer this over the “click pins” others are starting to use, with no option of making the gap smaller. This new cam system seems flawless, and the fall plate covers the wires. No chance of snagging now! With an option of making the gap even smaller. -The rods on this are thick compared to thin etched metal others follow. -Compared to the original samples, colors on this is phenomenal. The safety bonnet and chimney look perfect for a model.
  15. What exactly is different from these to the Loriot P? As Corbs said above, buffers and axleboxes, etc. Is there anything else? Would the buffers and axleboxes be the same as on the Loriot Y?
  16. What is this issue you see? The recent batch of mod Halls have been modified again. It doesn’t have the issue curved footplate issue under the smokebox, like the brassmasters kit fixed.

  19. Fantastic news, even more mud to sift through. Thankfully I’m earlier than that mess with what you’ve shown.
  20. Would some malachite single coaches be in order? Like to complete the pair with R4793, which should have a 56’ brake 3rd 6 comp lav paired with it, which is apart of these 3 and 4 coach sets. (I could be of course wrong in my findings, I’m no expert)
  21. I definitely planned ahead and definitely didn’t just get a Manor book to find a name for my Manor. I just got Great Western Manors by Laurence Waters. Thankfully found some pics of the five Bristol Bath Manors around 1946-48, only one in clear enough detail, which is on page 23. It shows 7814 Fringford Manor in 1948 with narrow hornplates and what looks to be a flush tender. But interestingly, Dapol produced 7814 with a riveted tender? (7814 did get a wide hornplate riveted tender by 1955) Either I’m seeing the picture wrong and Dapol did it correctly, or the other way around. Which would it be? (I have 7819 on order, which is flush and narrow hornplates) I also have 7800 and 7820 on order for fun. Thank you

  23. Hi TMC, Thank you for response, but the images that have been shared via your website, and people starting to receive theirs, show a difference in colour on the dome. As I didn’t ask to save his images, here is a link to Facebook of someone’s G5 having a miscoloured dome. Facebook link. Before this gets too crazy, I’m only calling this part out, as there’s nothing else to complain about. It is a beautiful looking model.
  24. Just an observation, on the NER liveries, the dome on the production models do not match in colour to the boiler. The original samples did match.
