  1. I thought I posted this at 9:18 this morning many of my post have been dissappearing of late Morning Peeps Prep!ssytating down here I was up early as there is no cutains up at the moment and I watched all the miseries that live in the road go off to work hang-dog body language faces like slapped butts and a slamming of car doors It's nice to see people smile once in a while , having spent yesterday chasing paint around the ceiling it needs another coat and a heater with 16 bricks needs to come off the wall and a thousand and one dinks in the walls to fill will be in attendance to make sure the work is upto HER standard. Have a good one A.Slave Posted now Ceiling has been painted twice and looks a treat the heater is sitting in the conservatory much to some-ones dislike and one wall painted, I've been watch those with the face like a slapped butt this morning return from work still looking down trodden I'd top myself if I ever got like those saddo's. HER seems to be happy that we have progressed today Browny Points are amassing nicely. enjoy the rest of the day A Slave
  2. Tim with those Express Tankers I just black out any script what I don't want and re-do them with pressfix it don't take long. Clive I'd get SM Mike to drive if I had a preference Phillipus I'm having some of your trouble you have from time to time It appears you need to have bought a Kernow 1363 or be in the brown nose gang not to get your posts wiped off the Kernow commission page just cos I posted a cryptic message pathetic if you ask me when they allow trolling on here the thing is a lemon anyway with those splashers I can't see what the problem is some people just don't like honest criticism Dear boy I might have another Brake van(Airfix) are you interested
  3. Hi John that a nice Siphon I found 2 of them on a s/h stall at a show for £6 & a third for £7.50 on fleebay they look the part behind a Star with clerestory or toplight coaches attached, I back date the layout sometimes with older types of loco's & stock for a bit of variety.
  4. Bill there was one chap of that ilk who stank of p!ss on Saturday at Nescot must be the same guy GDB and I have encounted at the Hampton Court club show on several occasions stained trousers and a filty grey shirt with a black ring round the collar he should have a health warnig sticker put on him, a wide berth is required.
  5. morning Peeps Jamie someone said ihis surname was Simpleton but I know otherwise, Bob I did see BB at the show but gave him a wide berth he was sitting all on his own every time I past the stand I was invited to join Mick so went with the trio of old codgers, the show was below par with the traders no-one any Humbrol or Railmatch paints, to be honest it was a waste of time going apart for some excellent layouts and Charlie Petty doing a Punch & Judy show in that stand with a roof on to a roar of laughter from the crowd when I asked him. Good luck with your revised choice of chuggerbug, I nearly forgot to ask did you and Chris have a nice time ?. enjoy your day all I.M. Oft-Paintin
  6. Ben Jones aka 61661 of this parish worth a try with a PM
  7. The only trouble with that Phillus dear boy is the tiddy tank would be a blur out accelerating those big old lumbering beef tins.
  8. Morning Peeps Hissing down here at the moment, I've just returned from a shopping trip Wickes for a new paint roller extention pole the 2 old one's I had finally gave up the ghost, I popped into Hobbycraft for paint and scalpel blades I must be doing a lot of modelling to get through the blades at the rate they are going in the bin the No10's have a habit of snapping, some new signal red was purchased the tin ran dry after 10 years or more & satin black for touching in some new loco's and kit underframes it's alway nice to have a fresh tin with no lumps in the paint. I don't know what GDB will do in the mornings if the local Sainsburys closes there is a large Chavda near by I supose he will have to go knuckle dragging if he has to do the shopping there, I bet his Bossness is mortified at the news. There's a storage heater to go back on the wall today in the dinning room and I need help so I'm waiting for SWMBO to shift her ar$£ so I can get on and make a start on decorating the lounge fingers crossed I should be done by the end of the week so I can get back to working on the layout. Enjoy your day Bob the Builder
  9. It's in Peter W Grays book Steam Around Devon & Cornwall, it's not credited to any one so must be one of his. BTW he was a Writer/Photographer for the Plymouth Herald.

  12. Afternoon Peeps Mike that looks like Blyth but I could be wrong, I met Chrisf today at the Ewell show he was his was in happy show mode taking it by storm It, was a pleasant show as shows go I spent more time gassing than looking, I was met by 3 old buddies I sometimes go to shows so the usual p!ss taking ensued. Andy I spoke to some of your club mates operating Burdale Colliery they all had memory lapse and had trouble thinking who you were. Enjoy your day Rand R Mann
  13. Afternoon Peeps I've finally finished the decorating in the dinning room It took the pair of us 1/2 hours to put the mirror back on the wall the lugs would not go over the screw heads in the wall one screw had moved ??? a mystery but 3mm was enough for things not to happen, things will now progress to the lounge there is only an archway seperating the 2 rooms another week and we should be finished. I had to put my plumber hat on today as upstairs loo failed to flush on a push of the button I popped the top of the cabinet and found the air pipes off the push button a dab of silicone just to keep them in place sorted that out, electricians hat next the light fitting from the lounge was put in the dinnig room SWMBO wanted to buy a new one both rooms about £250 each and take a £300 light fitting to the charity shop a firm NO was said you can only have 1 new fitting I was suprised when HER said OK I'm having a day off tomorrow a Show at NESCOT Ewell with friends and a big fried breakfast to boot. enjoy what's left of it. Bob the Builder (the real one)
  14. I must have been lucky I've only had 2 part full one's that needed throwing away, I always give the can a good shake and the nozzle cleaned through after use turning it unside down and spraying till all the paint has been removed. I've found lighter fuel is a good cleaning agent for used nozzles prior to spraying. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ronson-Lighter-Fluid-133ml-can/dp/B00298IFN0
  15. Mike that sounds to me that S Kohler is back in his old job.
  16. I'm still decorating Stairs & Landing done 1/2 way throught the dinning room the man who skimmed my ceiling done a blinding job it's a shame he had not done other rooms in the house apart from the man cave, hallway, down stairs throne room and kitchen which I done. So far this week I planted 16 trees on the layout and grass about 5' of cutting put a set of brass plates on a loco. I told Hattons politely what I thought of them,( a right bunch of midland bankers) I wont be buying there again .
  17. Shame about Glen I see he has closed his business as per M.C.s website, I was hoping he could have done several of my Kings & Castles.
  18. "Mange tout", "Mange tout" Mr Philipus nice to see the progress/photo's of Duck Quack Jcn, I might buy MR mag if you say it's a good read I stopped it & BRM as both were full of _ _ _ _ (please fill in blanks to suit). Phil just quicky those white blocks are better placed underneath the board a bit of weight on that board and the screws could let go. Off to run a fast fitted goods with the new toys.
  19. Where's His Duckship today gone to his pirates thing ? (Just got back I see.) I just hope the new royal sprog hasn't got ginger hair as it might run in the family of the second son born. I would not of thought they'd name him Ar$£ after you.
  20. Afternoon Peeps Thanks goes to Baz he reminded me it was St Georges day 41st wedding adversary this year, we don't waste money on cards which was a let off instead I descreetly booked a table at the local restrauant she can be easily pleased I was going to pick a flower from the garden and put it in a vase but thought better of it so there was no excuse for her to moan. Decorating commenced today with the first coat on the newly pastered ceiling, to play safe I will leave it till tomorrow to re-coat it other work was carried out sanding and filling the usual bumps and dinks in the walls and a large storage heater to be remove the last one got damaged but luckily the repair was good and it was working for a while till I switched it off. I wonder if my mate Cap't GDB got away OK I bet he's got a drink in his hands as I type. Enjoy your day I.M Warnout
