The website uses geoIP location to show you the price for your VAT jurisdiction.

If your IP is outside the EU it will show it ex Vat

Once you login or supply your actual location at checkout it will confirm the actual pricing with vat and shipping where applicable.

If anyone is having erroneous pricing while inside the EU do please drop me a pm and I can investigate. Thanks!

Explains it, I mask a lot of that info.

Maybe it read my IP address and being in Europe but not the UK and converted the amounts into EUR (though retaining a pound sign).

I see them as £69-95 today though.

Now which STS set? Ibble obble black bobble Ibble obble.......

Bear in mind IP blocks get transferred between ISPs and regions from time to time - so the registered location is often incorrect, and sometimes the provider is slow to get it updated. e.g. our work block still shows as Germany 18 months after it should show Swindon :)

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, they’re proving to be very popular if pre-orders are anything to go by!

We’re also delighted to say that our snag list of tweaks has been accepted and approved by the factory so once they’re made its production time!

Thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered so far.

Cheers,

Fran

Hi All

Would anybody have info on workings or photographs of Class 56 hauling these wagons in the period 1989-2004 .

Would really like an excuse for buying these

TW

I personally saw an EWS grid on these leaving the Kings Cross area in summer 2001 but haven’t got photographic proof to back it up lol

Cheers,

Fran

We like a bit of prototype inspiration, just like this superb pic of the STS liveried PCAs at Brixton back in 83.

We will have the sample on display at Warley and we can take your pre-orders on our stand. Due January!

Cheers,

Not entirely sure as I cannot zoom the pic, but maybe a 73 with them?

Yes John, that's our wagons behind the first one. 73s were regular power for Rugby cement too https://www.flickr.com/photos/southern_modellers/26139759602/in/faves-33171048@N05/

Cheers!

Thanks Fran. Even another pair click forwards and back through your link. Interesting that the 3 photos with blue 73s had a different wagon between the loco and Accurascales PCAs. But the Gatwick Express loco does not (in Fran's link).

Edit: with some thought, it was doubtless the same train in all 4 pictures and they needed an extra wagon for it. I think I see the extra wagon appears on the far end of the train with the Gatwidk loco.

I saw it arrive at Clitheroe in the dark with RMweb's Big Jim at the controls.

I am not sure but the individual wagons were newer, in later years they took over in complete rakes.

Cheers.

Is there any chance of the slightly earlier light grey Blue Circle Cement version that was built to Design Code PC017A in 1981 being produced at a later date?  I realise that there are small detail differences between the various batches, but I understand that they are still essentially the same wagon with regards to overall dimensions and shape of the body.  I think the differences relate to the roof walkway and ladders and that the PC017A design was disc braked as opposed to clasp shoe braked.  I'm assuming that would need a new etch for the walkway and ladder and different moulded brake detail, but is it viable to produce this variant if there were only 12 produced with this configuration?

Hi Dungrange,

We did look at it from the outset of the project and deemed it not viable at the time. However, going by how successful the PCAs have been so far through pre-orders (seriously popular!) we may take a look at it again in the future after these variants sell out.

Cheers!

Gotta say Accurascale have got my attention now and really need to somehow find more money without pissing off the missus to get these Castle Cement wagons, not to mention I now want 2 of the current preserved Deltic's.

I think it's great to have more choice and really shakes up the market with Accurascale, Hatton's, Realtrack & Revolution coming up with really high quality products which there is a market...yes we do want highy detailed quality.
