There's been some consideration of whether there's a set of wagons for the rest of the horse.

These animals being well endowed, I'm presuming that there's a tool van in the train formation? :D

It’s coming in off the trip working from Penistone.

Not so much madness and "WTF?"

A model of an Italian Railways Horses Head wagon.  Presumably from the days FS had the contract from the Mafia for overnight delivery of bedroom warnings.

When it absolutely has to be there overnight, or lose your kneecaps...

I am curious as to why something which is described as "new" should have one odd buffer, fixed askew on the buffer beam and clear signs of wear to the paintwork of both buffer beams?

It seems to me that the term "finescale" has now been appropriated by a number of eBay sellers trying to talk up their listings.

I presume that the seller is referring to the wheels?

As nice as the venerable old Airfix cattle wagon is, (I have built a few!), I suspect that those overscale working door hinges preclude it from being classed as a "finescale" model.

Or does it mean that when I built my first one about the age of nine, I became a "finescale modeller"?

Is it a Hymek with an AL1 cab at each end? I'm just wondering what the hump back is all about?

No it is

Hornby R753-LN A.E.1 Type AL1 Electric Locomotive E3001 could be the double or single pantograph version.

Not sure if it’s madness as the starting price is fair for the spare parts alone; just wanted to share this unusual creation!

The final photo seems to depict a different loco - one with extra side vents?

I've seen a lot of ad's from Australia where the postage charge is eye-watering - don't know if it's anything to do with the recent trade agreement between our 2 countries

It's always been that way. A couple of christmas' back I went to post a mate who lives out there a box of Timothy Taylor's Landlord (12 bottles)  as they don't do proper beer over there. The lady at the post office quoted me a three figure sum and told me it could take 12 weeks to arrive. Needless to say, I took it home and drank it.

Yes, and I accept that Oz is a long way from the UK so I do expect carriage to cost more than from the Isle of Wight.  All the same, our Chinese friends seem to able to post all manner of things for tuppence ha'penny and they are not that much nearer the UK.  If it's OK for the Chinese to subsidise their exporters, it's a pity we and our Commonwealth friends can't (or rather don't) do the same for each other.

With respect, I wouldn't care to live under Chinese conditions - subsidies or no! (One party state; no independent judiciary; oppression of religious minorities; etc., etc).

CJI.

Strange that when South Africa treated its people like cattle the world boycotted all its products.

Still, there wasn't so many in the rest of the world with fingers in South African pies.

Call me cynical if you will.

Also, I thought that Australia was a part of the commonwealth, or doesn't that count anymore?
