Robin,

Just a quickie, as you are more likely to have this information to hand than I, if I may, can you recall when the London-end overbridge was rebuilt into it's present, girder form, please?

Thanks.

I think it was late 48/49, there are photos of the new bridge being installed.  Unfortunately there are very few photos of the original, I think I’ve found two or three.  Probably the structure I most dread having to build.  (Though I do have. Plan for a temporary stop gap solution using some off the shelf laser cut arch trusses.)  the real

the real thing was made with open trusses, so I think etching is the only way to get it right.

No that’s the first I’ve seen of it I think

very useful thanks as it’s a slightly better angle than the others I’ve seen

Me too and by tweaking the light we can see some Pear's Soap and others enamel signs on the wall and another signal.

I've just had an email from Model Rail asking if I still want their 16xx I ordered.:D

Courtesy of Model Rail and Chris Nevard here's one of the late crest versions in the flesh. Apparently the extra lamp irons are separate for modellers to fit as their position varied.

So is this one of the production ones, Robin, as far as you know, ie. one of the main batch that have had such a carefully monitored sea trip recently?
