Bless all and have a wonderful Noël .Look forward to more ANTB next year.Thank you Robin who keeps us all healthily sane.

A moment of self indulgence here. In Memoriam Keith Howard,my friend and fellow enthusiast whom those of you who made the trip to the W&GR in October of last year might just remember. Keith passed away this afternoon. God bless my son...

I spy a finial on the banner repeater signal. Is that normal or is it a preservation-era affectation?

I can’t say I know, but it doesn’t feel right to me.  One question is the colour: shouldn’t be red as you don’t stop at a banner but yellow implies distant.  Need to think where I might find accurate historic photos.

Paul.

Thanks Paul. I can't recall ever seeing a photo of one, hence the question. Your observation regarding the colour hadn't occurred to me.

  Happy Christmas.          Brian

Yes I did Brian, but my inner schoolboy couldn't resist.

You have a great Christmas too.
