Went today and it was great to meet old friends, and some new ones from this group.

At last I saw the layout tribute to Steve Titherage, and kings park, but there were also some stunning other layouts, in fact too many to mention here.

This day trip from Liverpool reminded me what a show should be about, layouts, laughs, friendships, stockists and specialists.

Totally recommended by me, visit if you can.

Cheers

Dave

Think I saw you Dave. You showing new 71 to guy at DCC supplies?

Excellent show yet again, well done Perth. Attended today en masse by 70% of the Scottish Region Study Group (not hard maths given only 10 of us in total!) with notable absence of man in checked shirt. Great to have the guys and some of the wives meet up at our place in Glasgow Road pre and post show. A good day and certainly better than Thursday night/Friday morning.

Hi mate. Yup I was there but at the Digitrains stand (DCC supplies didn't attend), having a good natter and blocking the stand for customers. :-(

Cheers

We aren't going to make it. The little one, who usually sleeps well in the car, fussed more than once on our way to our overnight stop. Then it transpired by the noises the wife's car was making as I parked up those brakes I've been saying need attention for 18 months haven't been addressed.

The only course of action available was to allow the car to cool down overnight then come back home. It's surprising how little you need the brakes with a good degree of forward planning and light traffic.

Visited the show for the first time yesterday. Very pleased with what I saw. All the layouts were fantastic! Spent a bit of money mind you...............

Note to the organisers for next year: please have some indication available when the car park is full. 10.00am and all parking at the centre full up!

Just a minor point but an important one. Thanks for organising a really great show! Will definitely be back next year............

Guest 40-something

Another fantastic show, hats off to Stan and the rest of the Perth Club for continuously running the best show in Scotland by far, and a fitting 25th Anniversary show

Had a great time exhibiting Milton Street MPD (despite the electrical gremlins and operator idiocity), catching up with old friends, and making new ones.

Its what the hobby is all about!

Till next year!!!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to add my thanks to Stan and the team at Perth for putting on another cracking exhibition. There were a lot of very good layouts and good selection of trade. I hope it's been a success and will see you all again next year.

All the best,

Mark (Scottish Modellers/DEMU)

Enjoyed the show and Almond Bridge ran well, first time it had been out for a while.  The Biomass wagons ran without any issues and looked impressive as they made their way slowly round the outside track.

I made a few purchases including a Green Diesel for Waverley 85/86.  No need to worry though D200/40122 was definitely seen in and around Waverley in1986!

Enjoyed seeing Loughborough in blue grey having seen it twice before in modern image guise.

Tried to paste in a link to a video report from a local newspaper, however can't paste the link at the moment.  If interested try the www.courier.co.uk and search for model rail

350 or so sleeps until Perth 2017 :locomotive:

On behalf of the Kinmundy Krew I would like to thank Stan and all his team for the show and the hospitality show to us as exhibitors

Not many could have said that they traveled through three countries to attend, but the near 850 mile round trip was well worthwhile!

And a big thanks to Mike Dave Maurice and Babs who made the evenings eventful too....

First reflections on the show:

Good feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike with positive comments regarding the diversity of layouts and trade on offer. I thought pete Goss was a worthy winner of best in show but was also very taken with the scale model of the Forth Bridge build by Alan Ramsay and Lorraine Pritchard.

The Scammell Scarab, our first venture into 12"/foot scale exhibit was very popular. Iain told me he was talking most of the weekend and it was great watching it being driven into the hall on the Friday morning. There are so many other comments, too numerous to mention here but once again the exhibition is a success because of everyone who exhibits and trades over the weekend as well as the people who support it by coming to see what is there. many thanks to all.

A visitor to the show kindly made a video of my layout Fairhaven Road and posted it on YouTube. Here is the link. https://youtu.be/Q6Y4Zpguxu8 His channel also has very good videos of a number of the other layouts which were there.

Thanks for inviting us Stan and we are looking forward to bringing Max Fowler's layout, The Maxwell Colliery Loading point, to the show next year.
