RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted December 27, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 27, 2016 Among other things (non railway) I got a gift token for Marks Models in Cork and also a copy of Trains Illustrated for the month I was born.
leopardml2341
My son in law thought it appropriate to present me with a set of four Hip Hop CD's in honour of my forthcoming hip op. Despite my ability to see puns readily and having a good sense of humour, this didn't resonate with me or Ian!Yup, I had all the same 'humour' in the run up to my hip op (March this year). Good luck when the time comes, best thing they did for me and - only 9 months later I found myself running for a train without having given the replacement joint a second thought. Hope all goes well Sherri. Rgds, Andy

Currently half way through enjoying one of the prezzies given to me by my other half, the DVD box set of 'The New Avengers', some of it is a bit daft but most of it fine and dandy, with some wonderful locations and cars, and the cinematogrophy is rather beautiful compared to most shows from the same period. The world was a very different place in 1976 / 77, but one which contains Joanna Lumley wearing red kinky boots and blasting around in a beige MGB and bright yellow TR7 can't be all bad. Peter Kazmierczak
Cheers Nidge As for the New Avengers - Diana Rigg wins hands down hee hee Phil Agree with Phil on that one. Actually, past episodes are currently being shown at 8pm each weekday evening on (I think) channel 62. Had the one about a disused station on the WCML recently. Peter Kazmierczak
Is that "A funny thing happened on the way to the Station"? P Think so - they want to blow up the Prime Minister (no comments please) in a passing train. It's got John Laurie in it too, as the station's owner who lives in the signalbox. Lots of views of 25kV electrics in electric blue as well.
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted December 28, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 28, 2016 I need to apologise but you all need a laugh at the end of 2016 and so, Santa brought me two Pilates neck 'pillows', a Pilates DVD and a book on Pilates. I had actually asked for Pilot's accessories but Santa must have had too much Sherry. Flexi Bill. P.S. I really am going to be doing some Pilates. You didn't happen to be born on the 29th of February did you? You might want to steer clear o' Penzance. Cue "When Frederic was a little lad". Hi Ash, Don't know what procedure you're having but if it's a replacement, Ruth(my wife} had one a year last July and it has been a real life changer, from being a virtual cripple, she is swimming, doing gym stuff and lots of other exercise not thought possible prior to the op, She is 56 and apart from a little discomfort(drugs provided to counter)and some tiredness for maybe a week after the procedure, she was very soon back to normal. Good Luck.....Mike
royaloak
Escort ? I didnt know there was a Ford Escort Calling Bird, was it a limited edition? Was it available to everyone and how much did it cost? <quick bit of Googling gives us the following info> It seems that model was quite hard in big ends and tended to blow gaskets.
