Another great set of photos Andy and, if you are enjoying running the layout so much, perhaps KM will have a much longer life in TOPS.

I do think the Black 5 needs liberating from the shed for a steam special.

Thanks Andy, I may just do that with the Black 5, but yes, the Play value of KM is keeping me going for a while at least.

O.K. Changed cameras back to the Fuji, with elastic bands holding the Batteries in place, think I might try and pick up another with a good body, I'll have a look on Flea Bay later.

That’s the right balance between running and construction. Even if you do get as far as the last line I’ve enjoyed the journey.

Many thanks, Paul.

I bet the people in that black and white cottage in the second from bottom picture are the ones behind the movement to get the line closed with those chonking diesels rattling past at all hours, not able to have their windows open for fear of being poisoned by fumes. It's probably occupied by some blameless retired couple who bought hoping to spend their twilight years listening to the melodic simmering of steam trundling by, no doubt accompanied by a friendly wave from the salt of the earth driver and fireman, then overnight those blue things suddenly appear with their choking fumes. Ireally think that steamer should come out of the shed on a few specials if only to make those kindly old folk very happy

Good pictures though. One might almost say the Ivo Peters of the diesel era !

Cheers Paul, the last line sometimes gets further away one minute, and closer the next.

Great pictures again Andy. That shot of the DMU reminds of Pencarne.

I agree Andy, there are a quite a few nice angles and like Pencarne, that gives me some different and exciting shots.

Thanks Jazzer, not sure about Ivo Peters, but I'm enjoying the pics.

BTW, that's the Pub by the Railway, and the Canal and a great place for Train spotting and a cold pint.

Well would you Adam and Eve it, after Months of procastination, a start has been made on Kings Moreton Station, and the surrounding area.

Firstly I found my Paints, just water based.

post-9335-0-83684100-1527685952_thumb.jpg

Masked up the Platform edges and made a start.

post-9335-0-09528400-1527685993_thumb.jpg

The reasons for the different colouring will become apparent later.

post-9335-0-98176300-1527686090_thumb.jpg

Then the masking tape was removed.

Then a basic test was re done again.

Next some foam was cut and added, and covered in PVA and Flock

And some Fencing, Buildings and Vehicles, (these will be changed to the correct period ones soon)

That looks better.

A few more finishing tweaks and then the area will look great.

Just one question - what is happening with the 'gap in the sky'...?

Cheers Kevin, I've got to get some more modern Lamp Post's, I have some of the signage ready, along with some Platform furniture.

The bit of Sky fell down the back, and I need to reach the coner to retrieve it, but forgot it earlier, it was held in place with Black Tac, so obviously needs a 4 inch nail now, :O  :nono:  :nono:

Hi Andy

Is there a vintage bus rally going on? :scratchhead: :scratchhead:

I am sure George will help with suitable period liveried Leyland Nationals, Bristol VRs etc.

Hahaha As I said at the top, the Vehicles will be changed, but with about a dozen OLD Busses, it may well be a case of Busses heading to a Rally until I can find the right ones.

Hi Andy

Are you popping up to Burton over the weekend.

Only asking because Mick is there with his Yella Layout. I am playing with three links again but a different train set.

And you still owe me a cuppa and cake that you said you would buy me at Derby.
