Colin parks
Same view yesterday evening: 20170731_170752.jpg Also my office, the last train from Bognor last night tucked far away on the very distant Platform 4: Southern Class 313/2 313202 Bognor Regis 31/7/17 by John Upton, on Flickr Hi John, The night time shot of 313202 at Bognor is very atmospheric and a skillfully taken photo. Apart from the signage, Bognor does not seem to have changed an awful lot in 40 Years, judging by your first photo. All the best, Colin
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted August 1, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 1, 2017 This the artists impression of the finished plan, note the relocated ticket office, the removal of the 1900's vintage newsagents stand (the new ticket office is similar in style/appearance), the replicated fencing and gates plus the Class 450 Desiro in Southern livery!! Popular Post bingley hall
A 4-EPB rattles it's way off the West Croydon line, across the point work and passes the disused signal box at Sutton, sometime in 1984.

RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted August 5, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 5, 2017 A tip, if you are train crew, flash your i.d. in the buffet on platform1/2 and you should get a discount.

My id isn't train crew but might give it a try next time!! It's good prices as it is , far cheaper than the plastic outlets at bigger stations Edited August 5, 2017 by roundhouse
Judge Dread
My idi isn't train crew but might give it a try next time!! It's good prices as it is , far cheaper than the plastic outlets at bigger stations For about five years I flashed the lapel badge I had on my issue greatcoat to the ticket snatcher with the word "Company". I was in the Signal Engineers dept. at that time. Finally after all that time, I was stopped when a more eagle eyed ticket collector observed it was a North Eastern Railway badge I was sporting. "You're not old enough" was his reply to my "Company". Fortunately I did have my I.D. card with me.

RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted August 10, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 10, 2017 That would have been 313216 which has been looking decidedly grubby for a few weeks now (being stabled overnight down Bognor on several consecutive nights where there is no carriage washer doesn't help) and it was still looking grubby when it passed me earlier this morning although one cab front seems to have been cleaned now. If I get a chance I will introduce the other end to the broom and bucket!
73c
When I worked for the CM&EE (ODM) at Waterloo main, the washers at Clapham and Wimbledon seemed to break down fairly regularly. We had to wait for an ecs working to take us out and back at Clapham as too dangerous for our gang to carry tools and walk back.

Popular Post Andy Louch
Managed a short trip to Bognor and Littlehampton this morning; thanks to John M and Colin for tip off, with aim of getting a few shots of the semaphores there. Would have carried on to Brighton this afternoon (not been there for 35 years!) however trip cut short when my son developed a severe migraine so broke off trip early and headed home. Another place back on the list!
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted August 16, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Note the shorter south end of Bognor signal box, it was remodeled by a runaway 4-CIG that took it upon itself to glide out of the carriage sidings early one morning before embedding itself in the signalers toilet....
