RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted April 4, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 4, 2018 I've made a decision - I've ordered some more Dingham electromagnet uncouplers. Not sure whether to go for a row of push switches, or Worsdell F's rotary switch & single push switch. One idea is to have the single push switch strapped to the handheld controller, so it can be operated all with one hand - just need to try the ergonomics. Some cog-wheels turned up yesterday - so I can now make the two ground-level underground doors operate from one servo.

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted April 4, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 4, 2018 (edited) I need long, thin screws to fix the choc blocks with, and I haven't got any. I probably also ought to buy a larger choc block so the connectors line up with the slide switches. A trip to the ironmongers is imminent. RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted April 5, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) See, Chris, someone thinks I do more than just toilets! In this instance, however, yes, it is a toilet block, destined for as yet an unknown site on the layout. It needs a little more in the way of trim, plus lots of pipes and a roof. Edited April 5, 2018 by Stubby47

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted April 5, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2018 Despite only ordering them yesterday, the Dingham uncouplers have arrived - excellent service from Trevor Shaw. So I should be able to install them, and finish the tracklaying and the WIT point control tonight...
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted April 5, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2018 4 out of 5 points are working fine, the last one ( one of the two with the extended wire) is refusing to behave. 3 Dingham uncouplers are wired up, but I've not got the required 4.5mm drill bit to make the holes. Looking forward to a week off to make some proper progress.

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted April 5, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2018 Do you need some holes sending over? Yes please. I'll need some more for the wiring too. Tried to buy some cheap lift off butt hinges ( no, no one will make a joke out of that phrase, I'm sure...) today, but no luck locally. I'll use them to attach the Fiddle Stick and Fiddle Yard.
