Not again

I checked stock last night before listing and the site said that there were three left

Sigh!

There were, but at that price they were never going to be available for long, I paid over £250 for my set, hey ho, I am just glad I got one!

Or it could be Hornby are clearing warehouse stocks like they have in the past and a number of retailers will be receiving them.

Erm no, from Hattons, the guy is ebay only and buys stuff from toy fairs etc to resell - its from the Hattons purchase of stock from Olivia's

It looks like Model Railway Emporium bought 4 of the sets from hattons based on the fairly reasonable prices they are now selling these sets at on ebay. Maybe still a bargain for some, but not in the same league as hattons were selling them for!

Complete set: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-00-GAUGE-R3337-THE-SILVER-JUBILEE-COLLECTION-80TH-ANNIVERSARY-4-LOCOS-NEW/282896001214?hash=item41ddea68be:g:YoUAAOSwxJlas-lB

and now each loco is listed for £99.99, probably more of a bargain!

Hattons have Bachmann 32-429DS Class 24 D5100 with factory fitted DCC Sound for £164. Considering DCC Sound costs about £100, it's good value Only 3 left @ 12.55 today!

It's an ESU V3.5 (according to the Bachmann sound decoder list on the DCC Sound forum).....

I would think it's re-blowable if that's what you intimating NIK! You  would have to check with DCC specialists first before buying.

As Ely_South say's it's V3.5 on the Bachmann list :-

A nicely weathered Bachmann Class 24 in departmental weathered blue ex ModelZone limited edition for eighty sheets is tempting:

Hi,

Partly, also I don't know about the quality of Bachmanns 'own' sound decoders.

Nick

Aren't they Loksound Selects they use?

Don't think they are re-blowable but are made by ESU.

Bachmann dont do their own sound decoders. If you're meaning the cheaper factory-fitted sound chips they're still ESU, but Loksound Select rather than the full fat Loksound V3.5 or V4

I have a class 45 & 25 with factory fitted sound which I got about 5 year ago and are not up to the standards of todays offerings. I think it's called progress!
