Bargain Hunters Mark 2

Kernow have listed a number of their limited edition bodies for sale, all at £49.99.

https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/s/Body/name

These include the SWR 3 car class 159 (rrp £459), and 37012, 37196, 37401, 37418, 37207, 47003, 47363,47484 etc.

Also bodies of the D600’s (part decorated at £39.99, fully decorated at £49) as well as 4TC bodies and a bunch of class 205 Thumper bodies.

considering the prices of the Bachmann limited editions are £250+ the body is quite cheap.

However food for thought, is the magic in the 159 is… £459 rrp.

if you acquired the usually heavily discounted 31-520 NSE 3 car class 159 (its averaging £220-230 on various bargain bins), then bought the SWR bodies £150, and sold off the old NSE bodies you could realise a saving in the range of £160 off the RRP, you’d be saving c£80 even if you kept the NSE bodies.

I think these are a Bachmann thing, they are at Kernow too.

To re-emphasise, there are ALSO bundles created by Kernow on this link. However the first 9 packs are identical to the ones offered by Rails.

Whilst trawling the web I found the following:

TMC have the Bachmann SFX versions of 37262 Dounreay and 37401 Mary Queen of Scots at £285 £252 for Black Friday and £281 respectively

Roxley have 1 only of 37043 Loch Lomond in SFX at £289.99, they also have some other 37 and 47 SFX's for £290or less (just search 'SFX')

This might be of interest to someone.

Hornby are offering a free "Coca Cola" Christmas Routemaster (RRP £20.99) on in-stock orders over £50.

While stocks last...

Postage is free on orders over £50 too. Just ordered 3 of their Xmas wagons for the Xmas tree layout, got 200 Reward points for signing up before the order so had another £2 off - with free postage and free bus as well not a bad result for an order just over £50. Bus is a useful Xmas stocking filler.

Another spot, I noticed that the latest batch of Heljan Class 25's includes additional stock of the ETHEL 1 from batch 1 (they were nowhere to be found a few weeks back, only the IC livery ones in sales), Rails are doing ETHEL 1 (ref: 2540) for £144, £50 less than ETHEL 2:
