lapford34102
Sounds like an "Only Connect" clue, still it'll keep people busy over the weekend with Saints, Class 29's and things with only 29 of them. Stu

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted May 4, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 4, 2018 I hope that after all this the big announcement on 8th May doesn't turn out to be that they are going to make a really important announcement some time in the summer. Could be an announcement of when they are going to announce the date of the announcement of the 2019 range and how they will enforce the embargo using stealth versions of the Battlespace wagons which are so stealthy you can't see them.

RMweb Premium Neil Posted May 4, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 4, 2018 I've had out my crystal balls, poked about the tea leaves and examined my runes for a further bout of prognostication. I'm beginning to wonder if it might be news of a Brexit Bus Playset to include a Boris-master, a red six wheel coach with questionable vinyls and a CD of a station announcer informing the booked party of UKIP representatives that their gravy train has departed without them. RMweb Premium Legend Posted May 4, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 4, 2018 Could be track range , but that’s likely to be less than 29 and would be a brave venture to ensure backwards compatability

RMweb Gold Dunsignalling Posted May 4, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 4, 2018 (edited) Could be track range , but that’s likely to be less than 29 and would be a brave venture to ensure backwards compatability If it was made backwards compatible, there'd be no point (sorry) in doing it. Peco already have the "compatible upgrade" that can be joined to trainset track covered with Code 100 Streamline. If Hornby were looking at making a finer range, Peco have that too, with their Code 75, original FB and increasingly BH, too. Commercially wise to take on the market leader who nearly everyone who wants better track will already be aware of?
