Odd, I just tried it again and it worked OK - and I don't even "do" Twitter/X or whatever name it goes by today.

This unatributed variation on the picture seems to be a common one that's featured on a few websites......

It looks good only thing I think could be better is continuing the really dark blue centre line around the nose of the logo  would complete it  the front mid blue going higher than on sides looks weird

They seem to have a right mixture of equipment on that line including ex US Amfleet stock as well.....

Will be interesting to see how the thing develops as it was supposed to be an electrified operation from the outset, so the secondhand stock is something of a stop-gap, but how long it takes to be electrified is another matter!

May have been due to me trying to smash the login wall a while ago with object blocking. You can also get scripts to put the bird back rather than that pathetic x

They will probably get it done, before Oxford and Bristol.

A video clip is available here.

This was an empty coaching stock working as 5Z42 from Crewe Holding Sidings to Neville Hill Traction & Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot, and was a positioning move as the set is scheduled to operate the West Highland Pullman rail tour on 26th July 2023 from Darlington to Oban.

A nice touch, painting the traffic cones in Midland Pullman livery too...

Took these a week or so ago. Probably last pictures I’ll get before the December timetable change and castle hats are phased out. Never thought I’d see the day.

Well, the December timetable change was on the 10th and there are still Castle sets in service currently.

There are now 3 diagrams Mon-Fri & Sat for the Castle sets (none on Sundays) until the June change. They are now all concentrated exclusively between Penzance & Plymouth bar one extension to Exeter returning ECS and the opposite on Saturdays (ECS to Exeter, returning in service).

More on the Mexican sets: if you want a graphic demonstration of the gulf (no pun intended) between the British and North American loading gauges, scroll towards just before the seven minute point here for an EMD SD70 coupling up to an HST.
