Most of us would probably have tried to over engineer that and run into problems. I think that it's a great and simple solution. Nicely done!

Thanks, I was the best I could come up with without completely butchering the signal, when I took apart the one for the platform it was a nightmare to put back together and I’m sure it doesn’t work as well as it did before disassembly

riding a bike that mostly dates back to 1978.

Intriguing you ve put "mostly" in there ~ is that shades of Triggers broom? New frame/ New wheels/ New saddle ?

Or just consumables ~ brake cables/ tyres/ brake blocks?

Would love to still have my Peugeot tourer of the same vintage. Gone, but not forgotten.

Unusually I’m pleased with something I’ve done.

That is a great result. Looks the biz. A simple solution, as @MrWolf highlights, is often the best.

And no more balancing on stools required to get a drivers eye view picture.

after looking at it I wondered if I could repurpose one of the cable pulleys I had so I snipped off the mounting lug at one end, painted it black and Bob’s your uncle

Incredibly cruel close up put at normal viewing distance it looks quite good…..well to me at least which is the main thing

Looks excellent ( as does all of your modelling), just needs some weathering.

Thanks Stu, high praise indeed

It definitely needs a little weathering as it’s far too clean

It’s a real shame that Dapol didn’t go that extra mile and have these details on in the first place, obviously down to the accounts department
