Could layouting take over from dogging, or sheeping as it is known in the Derbyshire Dales?!!

I think the umm, "urges" involved are slightly different...

The location I take the layout is thankfully a bit too remote and windswept for dogging, although I have in the past taken a girlfriend up there for a bit of spooning, and on one memorable occasion a bit of forking...

It must be a nice place for a picnic.

SHED ADDICTION!

I blame @Rowsley17D and @MrWolf for this, entirely. They got me looking at sheds, specifically corrugated iron sheds, with a view to making one.

I don't need a shed, I don't particularly want a shed, but they've done it now...

So here's a nice prototype to aim at:

Let's see what happens.

So as a first step, I cut out the timber frame from 2mm square styrene (that equates to 6inches square to scale, so quite a hefty frame)

As those of you who have seen me attack styrene previously will know, I like to build a kit of parts first, and then stick them together, so here's lots of bits of styrene cut to size:

Then, I started with the front as I can use the doorway to get the scale right:

A little while later, and I have the front and back frames built:

And finally the side frames are attached:

And that's where I got to tonight.

Thanks for looking,

Al.

Rin Tin Tin of Bakewell is back.

Now I'd have just slapped 4 sides together and stuck some Ivy over the door area and called it Bodgits Bin.:dancer:

Australia, land of some of the finest sheds ever built.

Like British locomotive sheds, Australian sheds often have sub sheds. Unlike British locomotive sheds, the sub sheds are right next door.

I certainly find these images provide much in the way of inspiration.........and I am hoping ( when I can kickstart my modelling gene) to have much in the way of this on my next venture.
