The Dapol 68 coupling also needs to be the correct height to work with them.......   These guys usually cover most aspects, but if Dapol 68 couplings are anything like some of their droopy wagon couplings, the coaches may need to come with viagra tablets to give the 68....

.... Unless of course the coaches are that sexy, it gives the 68 some "phoar" went the coaches get close....

Which is why I mentioned the weight of the N Gauge stuff is a LOT lighter, and doesn’t require the extra strength of magnets, they way you have done it takes care of both requirements, strength and detail.

Its not just the weight, it depends on the rolling resistance and drag!  The HYAs were a lovely and very nice wagon, just not a very free rolling one.......(on my horrendous gradients, will dig a photo out somewhere - from memory took 8 PFAs to start one HYAs rolling down the gradient...Fortunately a certain Class 66 has the grunt to move a rake,up it don't struggle but you can tell its actually doing some work.    If they uncouple at all while propelling, which can occasionally happen with the 66 cam coupling - pushing them up the gradient makes your arm ache slightly!  With regards any locomotive from any manufacturer employing a cam coupling, coupling on curves never works....

If I had said Mass would it have been better for you?

I assumed the people here wouldn’t have thought the couplings would only be strong enough to pick a coach up by one, they might have the common sense to realise it might need enough strength to be pulled by a Loco around a track?

RMWeb…..🤣

I could assume a great many things but will stick with what I know and leave the assuming you.  It's something that you are good at.

What a pleasant chap.

There you go, assuming again.... Maybe I am, maybe I am not.  Maybe it 'just' depends "on the circumstances.....

Looking at your footnote, you take pleasure in trying to offend others, so only a little of your own medicine! Cannot stand the heat, jump out of the fire.

Not a dig at Accurascale, but I don't think many modellers would 'assume' this level of drag from one vehicle, hence my initial comment.  1 PFA alone goes down the ramp like something off a shovel, more than that you are racing to catch then before the inevitable on the first curve.   I even started these 9 off with the HYA on the straight with a little push and the 1 HYA still stopped it!

Huge respect to the Class 66 that can pull 12 HYAs up this and even do a standing start on a corner of the slope!  No prizes for guessing which one (just incase someone starts assuming yet again!).

Oh no, I wasn’t assuming just hoping, obviously wrong.

Don't bother replying, I won’t see your post.
