A hazy day at the Small Heath Metal Box factory sidings. Charlie Strong's Peckett, affectionately known as Mae, and a BR 350HP shunter.

Wonderful sense of depth and use of “aerial perspective” together with the back scene.

I do love a redhead (especially my Irish one)….

Wow...  both Redhead and Irish.....?

Do you juggle Dynamite sticks, with lit fuses, too??     🤪

Alright, just joking, I'm with you on both counts.

That last shot is particularly convincing- amazing what a bit of carefully placed cotton wool can do to enhance a pic

'Rass, Oi be with choild'.

I mean, he'd just rebuilt the house, sorted out the mine, paid Warleggan off, secured food for the villagers for the winter, got the harvest in, and finally got to sit down in front of a roaring fire with his feet up and no worries, and Demelza comes out with that.  I really felt for the poor b*gger!

don't know if i have posted tis on before, anyway, Blackbrook halt, the Black country

Beautifully observed modelling, full of atmosphere.  I particularly like the wonky fencing and the texture of the roadway but my favourite is the fella paused at the door of the pub looking down at the cat.  Superb.

If I have one criticism it's the Austin / Morris traversing the level crossing which is a bit of a modelling cliche, but that's a very personal view.  I'd love to see more of your work.
