I like that, I can picture standing on that platform, just as it's starting to rain like mad...

And of course the train doors are locked!

Night time at Pendle Forest

An excellent composition; do the head and tail lights really appear so brilliant, or is that a function of the photographic exposure?

CJI.

Thank you :)

I was playing around with the settings on my phone camera, so i think it's that more than anything else.

The throb of a 6LDA28 and squealing of wheel flanges can be heard as a BR/Sulzer Type 2 lifts a fully-fitted coal train up the bank from the NCBOE's Blacker Lane Disposal Point.

Cracking rendition of a bit of traditional British rural grot.

The weathering on the Mainline 58 is ace. Its also a great livery on the 58, it "carries" well. Probably one of the best liveries carried by the class, although that's my take. I appreciate liveries are a subjective thing.

Absolutely love the house, shed and old doors, superb observational modelling.

And you can't go wrong plonking a 24 on the front of the train, as far as I am concerned......👍

Cheers

A tired and weary J27, No. 65837, trundles over the track - amazing to think that some of these locos lasted in service until 1967!

Another weathering jobs from last year, mainly using Lifecolor acrylics and AK-Interactive washes!

Lovely work. Is the loco from a kit or is it detailed RTR?

Thank you! It’s a RTR Oxford J27 essentially straight from the box - I know it’s not perfect and can be improved a bit more by some with more skill and knowledge of the prototype. It weathers up very nicely though!

I wondered whether it might be. It looks excellent as it is. I cancelled my order for the J27 after hearing of poor customer reviews
