Brass lace-making pins, put into a pin vice, which in turn is put into the chuck of a mains electric drill, ensure everything is nice and tight and then turn down to preferred size with a needle file. Result - nice shiny brass door knobs!

Is there something you want to tell us Captain? Do you spend your free time, when of course your not muddling, sowing lace dolleys.

I’m pleased to see no one has stooped to my level and asked about knockers

Someone will make a clean breast of it!

One could hint at the interior by having a nice jug on the window sill.

Whilst waiting for some odds and ends to arrive for No.23, I have turned my attention back to the layout. The station building is receiving a light weathering, some of which is going to be knocked back a little, having given it a few hours. It still needs signs, a couple of drain pipes and door knobs. I'm thinking the heavy cast iron type that are about 2-3/4" diameter. That way I can use the old dodge of track pins, unless anyone knows of a better way?

Aye. But it needs some local birds, perhaps.

Are tits native to the area?

I think that they're distributed throughout the country, usually seen in pairs.

Blue in winter. Black in coal mining districts?

Great if lucky!

That would, if I remember correctly, form a suitable tribute to the East Suffolk Light Railway.

Which the late Bob Barlow referred to as a “thoroughly juvenile moment”.

Very nice pictures, soon be finished now!

Um....

About sixteen feet of wire fencing and lots of trees.

I'm kind of looking forward to making the trees. When I am building those I'll be thinking nearly finished now!
