Once I get nearly done I'll put some pictures up Paul Sounds Good Paul, I really need to look around more than just here, Realistic pics and the F1 threads.
Popular Post Andrew P
Hi Guys, Just an up date for here. Due to personal circumstances Building work needs to take place. This unfortunately will involve loosing about a Meter and a half of the POD. FAMILY COMES FIRST. There will be another layout on a smaller scale very soon once the work is complete and I have my BABY POD re instated. In the meantime I have had to advertise Toneleigh Bridge as a going / 90% complete layout, (advertised on Facebook, Gumtree and E-Bay, although I would rather not use that one). But if its not sold, I will salvage what I can, i.e. Points Point Motors Fencing, Bridge, and some of the trackwork and the base boards. I will start a new thread on the new build in the BABY POD once I know what I'm doing. FINALLY = Cheers to each and every contributor on here and my other projects for ALL your input and ideas. Some final pics I WILL BE BACK. Edited March 9 by Andrew P

David Bell
Sad to hear that. I think this layout is excellent with so much further potential. I also think that eventually you would have made the fiddleyard scenic. Here is to the Baby pod and whatever you build in it. Cheers David 1

RMweb Gold sjrixon Posted March 10 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 10 I'll echo the comments already in this thread.. However, based on previous information, there is nothing quite like seeing you start another layout! Looking forward to the new project.... 3

If I were to be STUPID it would be an 08 and a few wagons, but I have so much OO Stock spare Points and Track, Vehicles and Buildings it would be silly to swap back again. BUT never say never, as the next one is being built to Sell on and able to Exhibit, (NOT BY ME). So maybe one day, I might go back to "O". Cheers once again Paul, for planting seeds. 😅 1 1

pwr
Andy Just a thought and it's not confined to any scale but you could always do what I did and build a layout that can only be erected in the garden or other suitable flat area. It has plenty of downsides like only be operated on a fine day although if it wasn't too big you can always get some gazebos to cover it whilst operating. When not in use you could store in the pod and still have room for a workbench. I put mine on trestles I got from Amazon. You've seen the videos. Its not ideal but its better than nothing. We are looking to move and one of the tick boxes has to be somewhere I can easily operate the layout perhaps by having it half up in the garage and then erecting the rest when I want to run it. Trouble is we can't sell our house due to the dire market conditions. Paul
Andrew P
15 hours ago, MarshLane said: Some people just have no imagination you know Andy :) If its the passenger element .. how about a parcels unit :) Hi Rich, I do have a Parcels Bay in mind actually. I'm looking at a combination of three inspiring Layouts for the size I will have. I will probably end up with about 11ft long (2ft wide boards) with a Fiddle Yard on the left at 90 degrees of about 5ft. so "L" shape and inspiration has come from these three sources. The main inspiration is 4mm Canada St, a simple yard for sorting arrival and departure. Not to dissimilar to my current Yard, but not a through Yard. The second inspiration is from the Gresley Clubs 7mm Hawkins Lane Goods. The Cooperage in the top right will be a Steelworks for me, and the inclusion along the top / back of the Layout for a small Oil Depot, similar to the one just outside of Alton Station on the Waterloo Line. The Third inspiration comes again from a 7mm Layout, this time, Dubmill Sidings, taking the Warehouse and Yard on the bottom / front left of the Layout for Parcels and General Goods. Paul Hi Paul, Our passage way alongside the Bungalow is far to narrow anyway, certainly not wide enough to carry any boards from the POD located in the front of the bungalow to the rear, or operate at the front. Nice idea though. Cheers. Good luck with your sale, I'm not moving again having lived in I think its 23 properties, of which I've owned, bought and sold about 18 since I was 26. Andrew P
Looking again this morning, I think the left corner will be more like Ian / @Temeraire "Tidworth" Layout, rather than the Dubmill Sidings older style as show above. It will be more in keeping with my 90's Stock. NOT a copy, but more of that Modern style.
Andrew P
O.K., Tonleigh Bridge is now SOLD, so this will be the Last official post. Before I can start the new Layout / Topic, here's a Video of what has been keeping me busy over the last few Months. This was just from 2 Open Mic nights, so totally un rehearsed. Tony / Singer / Guitarist and I will be out soon at Pubs etc, as "CHANCE ENCOUNTER" once we have a permanent Drummer. THANKS once again Guys.
