EBay madness

I wonder if the guys at Tyseley have tried this out before:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-Date-With-The-Duchy-Barry-J-Freeman-/121124707799?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c33985dd7

I don't think it would go down too well with many of the purists!

Not to worry, it's from 'trusted High Street Brand' so it must be right, and it's loco drive - just in case.

Tudeybabes reaches a new low. The USP for this? It has been signed "in the Derek Lawrence, Larry Goddard style". Signed by someone whose initials are WS, but that's just splitting hairs, obviously.

RE: Modelzone "Duchy" Pic.

It is strange how many shops selling model railways get things so wrong.

Usually it is the tender "coupled" back to front (as on a LOT of Ebay listings as well.....not to mention Tank locos with tenders! :O).

On another front...

Has anyone else noticed the recent Ebay thing of flashing up a box with "X people have viewied this item in the last hour" or suchlike?

I think this thread is boosting these figures somewhat! ;)

One would hope that Larry has seen this potential misuse of his name in the promotion of a sale.

Meanwhile, an optimistic BIN on this RG4 1219....

It's one thing seeing it, but can he do anything about it other than object to his name being used (something which no doubt "gostude" would ignore, as he seems to ignore most communications)? After all, paintings are sometimes described as "in the style of" or "school of...."

Check this out before they correct it or take it down.  It's not railway but it's hilarious!

This seems like someone selling a number of cars through one listing...naughty naughty! :nono:

clickyhere

Typo?

Probably not.  It usually means the seller is out of stock temporarily, so to prevent further purchases he adds a couple of zeros to the price like this.  When he has stock again, the price is put back to normal.
