If you look at his completed listings everything he lists has upside down pictures! Perhaps it's his way of attracting more interest - eg by getting a mention on this thread!

The price riser from Warwickshire has listed a Beyer-Garratt at almost seven hundred pounds, but it is post free.

Thane of Fife

At £697 a tad expensive, kit cost being £165 leaving a £532 building cost.

For a well built model I would expect to pay at least £400 building cost, maybe a bit more. Nice model nonetheless!

Someone obviously regrets going a bit mental on multiple impulse purchases of YMRV Issue 1:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Your-Model-Railway-Village-Issue-1-/251389966640?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3a88027930

To be fair, it works out less than four quid each (without postage mind) - question is, do you need fourteen of them?!?

Already got 7 myself.  Another one where the seller's id seems somehow appropriate given that I expect he'll struggle to sell 14 at once?

He doesn't mention 14 of them until the detailed description, so I suspect many people will see the title and the price and move on thinking it's for one.

There were some Lego trains at a local exhibition I visited recently, so, being rather curious to know more, I took a look on ebay and discovered this unpowered loco ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Trains-10194-EMERALD-NIGHT-NEW-SEALED-/331072046233?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item4d156e8499

They are probably a similar size to comparable O gauge models, but with the track curvature probably being similar to the 1950's Hornby clockworks stuff, so I suppose you get quite a bit for your money ? I can't decide really, although I must say, the class 37 / 47 Diesel loco's on display at the exhibition were quite nice,

Not madness as such but does anyone know this van's diagram number. It's anew one to me. :O

I think it's the same thing as being discussed today on P.62  #1531 on the 16T thread?  (Relates to a question re the pic in #1527)

Must admit I've no idea what this is:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/model-railway-carriage-/380780731763?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item58a84cdd73

"Make and gauge unknown

This seems like a really good quality item so I will start the auction at a high price"

Its a snow broom, the Liverpool tramways had a few very like that.

That's a Fruit A, diagram Y8, purpose built as a fruit van. The E-bay van is a diagram Y10 Fruit A (or Fruit Mex), converted from a W10 cattle van. It is presumably the old Hornby Dublo version (or Wrenn). The body is now put out by Dapol, still on a too short wheelbase, see .http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/54084-gwr-cattle-to-fruit-van-conversion/

I've seen no evidence of them branded for parcels or painted brown; they were XP rated goods stock.
