Bodmin Bob
Oh No! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MODEL-RAILWAY-COACH-LEICESTER-ARSENAL-MAN-UTD-FOOTBALL-ANY-TEAM-SUIT-Hornby-/322195184410?hash=item4b04545b1a:g:-hoAAOSwvg9XUvsm Do we want to encourage this????? In what way can this actually be regarded as 'railway modelling'? I know that there is a lot of debate about RTR manufacturers producing wagons with printed graffiti, but looking at many modern freight trains you can at least argue that they are prototypical. However this offering is purely unnecessary destruction - what a shame. I know it's an old model but somebody somewhere could have made good use of it.
Bodmin Bob
Professionally weathered ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/oo-gauge-Hornby-Class-60-DCC-Fitted-weathered-/152183923327?hash=item236ede627f:g:quMAAOSwRgJXmREn I think some of this e.g. the rust marks, appear to have been done quite well. However the art of weathering is knowing exactly when to stop. Unfortunately whoever did it has gone too far and ruined a nice model.

Not for this Foxes fan I'm afraid. As graffiti it's not very convincing as all the player's names appear to be spelt correctly.

Definitely the Kitmaster/Airfix/Dapol kit (driving axles 2 and 5 are flangeless as well as 3, which is of course correct). I wonder how the return cranks got to that weird angle & likewise the cab! Obscene price for utter junk. $2.75 would be too much (by at least $2.75 ), but $275 is ridiculous (IMHO). Unfortunately these horrors aren't rare at all (a local charity shop had one - I don't know if they actually sold it or just threw it out...) I think the description of damaged in transit is erroneous - they all look like that! and I suspect the country of origin is somewhere rather farther to the east than the UK.... How can he tell if it got damaged in transit.........from India or Thailand? They are available from London wholesalers brand new, they have only been available for a few years, and are made in project workshops in the FE to provide work. They are delivered in exactly the condition he has his in... a dilapidated "antique" finish to use for Pub displays or to auction off to the gullible in local sales auctions. Most end up in Charity shops. Stephen Edited August 3, 2016 by bertiedog
